Motivation

edit

This resource would have saved me hours over the last week tracking down antiquarians and archaeologists who published under their initials (for example, confirming that "W. Burges" is the Victorian architect "William Burges"). Much of the work required to disambiguate these authors has already been done in this dataset (which includes lists of publications that can be double-checked).
