Motivation
editThe ANNO project is a very useful source for searching historical references in (mainly) Austrian or German language newspapers. The Austrian national library is ongoing digitizing a huge amount of historic newspapers from their stacks and publishing the materials online including a fulltext search. Linking corresponding newspaper items from Wikidata to the Project should be a good step.
Some newspapers are already linked in Wikidata using full work available at URL (P953)
SELECT ?item ?itemLabel ?object WHERE {
?item wdt:P953 ?object.
FILTER(CONTAINS(STR(?object), "http://anno.onb.ac.at/"))
SERVICE wikibase:label { bd:serviceParam wikibase:language "[AUTO_LANGUAGE],en". }
}
The Austrian National library provides also a SPARQL endpoint where the newspapers and their ids could be queried: Query ANNO ID
