Motivation
We already have Boijmans artist ID (P3888) for artists in this collection. We currently have about 8000 artworks in the Boijmans collection and the linking is a bit of a mess. We have a combination of:
- Old links like http://collectie.boijmans.nl/collection/1064-(ok)
- Old links with language included like http://collectie.boijmans.nl/nl/collection/1064-(ok) and http://collectie.boijmans.nl/en/collection/1064-(ok)
- New links like http://collectie.boijmans.nl/object/1526
- New links with language included like http://collectie.boijmans.nl/nl/object/1526 and http://collectie.boijmans.nl/en/object/1526
So six (!) different ways of linking to the same object. On Wikidata:WikiProject sum of all paintings/Collection/Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen you can see we ended up mixing the different formats and have redundant links.
