Motivation

There are probably >18000 such categories on Commons and many of them are now difficult to discover. At the same time, interiors are usually not notable enough to deserve an item. - Possible, although this might make life more complicated for p373>sitelink bots. Also, it would require that we lift some od the current constraints of P373 (single value, specification of allowed qualifiers).Vojtěch Dostál (talk) 19:27, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  If the “default” value would be preferred, the bots might even work correctly. Also, sure, one constraint would need to be modified (+separator (P4155)applies to part (P518)), but that is definitely a lesser change than a brand new property, isn’t it. --Mormegil (talk) 16:08, 1 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  - You might want to see Wikidata:Properties_for_deletion#Property:P373. Using strings has the major disadvantage that if the Commons category is moved/deleted, they need to be manually/bot updated, while if you use the sitelinks in a category item then they are automatically updated.
