This property is needed for all Governments that operate in parliamentary-based systems, since the date of resignation might differ considerably from the date in which the new Government takes place (see for instance Andreotti I Cabinet (Q3111866), that operated fully only from 18 February 1972 to 26 February 1972, but stayed in place until 26 June 1972). Comment not really convinced. The problem is that many terms of office or functions end with a resignation and these end sometimes later (at a date specific with "end date"). While the resignation statement (with the planned end date) can be used as a reference, I don't think there is much added by including these also in our already packed P39 statements with a qualifier. For the above usecase, I think significant event (Property:P793) can easily capture this. Maybe there are aspects I omitted. --- Jura 11:14, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If there's the potential for different people understanding different things that leads to bad data and is a reason to reject the proposal in it's current form.
