- Support If this is meant to be used on persons as the examples suggest, I would rather use the term "idHAL" for the name of the property, as this is the official name of this id (and incidentally a nice pun in french!). I would expect "HAL ID" to refer to the identifier for papers (such as "hal-01395810"). − Pintoch (talk) 07:24, 25 October 2017 (UTC)
- Support and I agree with Pintoch on using the official name, but it seems rather to be "authIdHal". GAllegre (talk)
- Pintoch and GAllegre, why not simply "HAL author ID" (and something like "HAL publication ID" for papers)? Nomen ad hoc (talk) 08:14, 25 October 2017 (UTC).
- I think that idHAL is the official name (see this doc). Tubezlob (🙋) 08:15, 25 October 2017 (UTC)
- I agree with "HAL author ID" as the less confusing name. The "official name" is not necessarily the best one, as the Wikidata context is much larger than the official reference one, so several official names from independant authorities can be very similar. GAllegre (talk) 08:34, 25 October 2017 (UTC)
- I think that happily, nothing prevents to use it under the column "Also known as". Nomen ad hoc (talk) 08:37, 25 October 2017 (UTC).
- I think it would make sense to have "idHAL" as the French label, "HAL author ID" looks like a good label in English. − Pintoch (talk) 08:17, 25 October 2017 (UTC)
- OK! I've fixed it. Nomen ad hoc (talk) 08:33, 25 October 2017 (UTC).
