Motivation
editLEGO is a globally well known toy construction set with significant influence. Approximately 75 billion bricks are sold each year in 140 countries. This property request allows modelling of the LEGO products which have been produced since 1949. Documentation of LEGO sets is widespread due to the significant impact LEGO products have had on the world. Dhx1 (talk) 12:27, 16 November 2018 (UTC)
Discussion
edit- Question If this is an external ID, is there any URL that can be used with this ID? Lewis Hulbert (talk) 13:07, 16 November 2018 (UTC)
- https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=$1 looks like a useful URL, though it is third-party. Lewis Hulbert (talk) 13:17, 16 November 2018 (UTC)
- Comment @Lewis Hulbert: Bricklink is probably the best formatter URI available for LEGO set, design and element IDs, but the website isn't official. Can Bricklink still be used as the formatter URI? Dhx1 (talk) 13:21, 16 November 2018 (UTC)
- If there's nothing better, I don't see why not. I know it won't be the only property to use an unofficial formatter URL. Lewis Hulbert (talk) 14:10, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

- Comment Is a set ID equivalent to a product model number or catalog number? (Also, is there a property for model numbers?) Trivialist (talk) 21:35, 25 November 2018 (UTC)
