Motivation
editMost parliaments in Australia have comprehensive online biographical registers of all members of that parliament. There are already corresponding properties for Victoria, New South Wales and the Australian parliament. This ID property link to that register, which will be useful for referencing and establishing the completeness of Wikidata items for members of the Tasmanian parliament. There is a corresponding proposal for the South Australian parliament. Find bruce (talk) 02:59, 20 August 2022 (UTC)

- Support. This will be helpful to bio work, but I question that it will ever be complete due to ongoing State elections. I look forward to the Mix'n'Match. Oronsay (talk) 23:07, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks - I understood expected completeness to refer to every member of the database having a corresponding wikidata entry. For example I believe that NSW Parliament member ID (P10012) is currently complete (Cat 4836), although of course the election next year will add new entries that need to be updated. OLD Re-Member ID (P8633) is currently not complete (Cat 3861) because there are members of the Parliament of Victoria who do not yet have a wikidata entry, eg Members of the Victorian Legislative Assembly, 1859–1861. The initial mix-n-match for Tasmania will initially not be complete for the same reason as Victoria, eg Members of the Tasmanian House of Assembly, 1856–1861. I expect it will eventually be complete as members of parliament are defined as notable. --Find bruce (talk) 01:22, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for clarifying this for me and, possibly, others. Oronsay (talk) 09:14, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
