Begrundelse edit

There is already a "gloss" field. However, where we want to reference "external" glosses we face the problem that there cannot be multiple glosses for the same language and that we cannot indicate the reference where the gloss is coming from. A real property will allow us to do that. Public domain dictionaries could be the source of these glosses associated with the proposed property. — Finn Årup Nielsen (fnielsen) (talk) 17:24, 11 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion edit

Support Nice idea. I've wondered for a while if some of the detailed structure of lexemes could better be handled by properties and I think this might be an example... Are there possible copyright issues on this though? ArthurPSmith (talk) 17:25, 12 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
There might be copyright issues. The 3 Danish examples I have given are from an 19th century book, so in this case there should be no problem. I would have been very nice if word net (Q2594143) people could release their data under CC0, so we could use them for this property. I have tried a bit to make them change their license, but I have not been successful. — Finn Årup Nielsen (fnielsen) (talk) 13:09, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
