  Comment This should not be limited to video game (Q7889) and software (Q7397). It should only require a statement distribution format (P437)digital download (Q54820071). See

SELECT ?item ?itemLabel WHERE {
  ?item wdt:P437 wd:Q54820071.
  SERVICE wikibase:label { bd:serviceParam wikibase:language "[AUTO_LANGUAGE],en". }
  ?item wdt:P31 ?inst.
  FILTER(?inst != wd:Q7889 && ?inst != wd:Q7397)
}
All items with this statement that are not an instance of video game or software.

Better now? @Dexxor:--Trade (talk) 19:30, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. —Dexxor (talk) 10:21, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  Comment Concerning your examples: where did you find the number of downloads on Mod DB? 250 also seems way too small for Forgotten Hope (Q24496). The only other store I know of that tracks the number of downloads is Google Play (Q79576). Maybe add an Android app as the third example. —Dexxor (talk) 10:19, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

* 'where did you find the number of downloads on Mod DB? 250 also seems way too small for Forgotten Hope (Q24496)' Here
The downloads page for Forgotten Hopes lists multiple files with largely varying download numbers. Which one to choose? Maybe the sum of all download numbers as stated in “File statistics”? However, this number cannot really be used to compare mods because mods with many files naturally have a larger total number of downloads. I think that the proposed property should only be used as a qualifier on software version identifier (P348) (when the data item is a mod from Mod DB). —Dexxor (talk) 12:45, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
'Which one to choose?' The 'Forgotten Hope v.7 Client' and 'Forgotten Hope 0.7 - FULL [win7]' combined files would be my guess. 'I think that the proposed property should only be used as a qualifier on software version identifier (P348) (when the data item is a mod from Mod DB)' The number of Mod Db items are fairly limited. It should be possibly to figure it out for each of them --Trade (talk) 13:21, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @ArthurPSmith:. How to reinstate this proposal? A "number of downloads" property would be very useful for digital libraries, for instance. Example: Arxiv.org has had 2,175,616,336 downloads since 1994.[1] -- Oa01 (talk) 17:07, 2 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Oa01: Probably best to create a new proposal. Old ones like this are unlikely to gather the attention needed for public support and creation. ArthurPSmith (talk) 17:20, 2 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
