I'd like to have admin rights on this wiki. I'm a very active editor on few project. I have 7 years experience in Wikimedia projects, and 5 years experience with bot operator. Now I'm global bot operator (KamikazeBot SUL info). My home wiki is pl. I'm going to help with translating in MediaWiki namespace. Karol007 talk 10:40, 16 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- Neutral I don't know about translating the interface pages because I think different languages can and should be independent of one anothers' messages.--Jasper Deng (talk) 19:06, 16 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- Support We could use more non-English admins, and this one seems willing and able to help. Ajraddatz (Talk) 01:05, 22 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Neutral My main concern below has been resolved, and the candidate's heart seems in the right place. Neutral rather than supportive because I think waiting a while would benefit both Karol and Wikidata (for instance, Karol just learned how to add labels using the title); neutral rather than opposed because "you would be a better candidate in 6–8 weeks" alone doesn't strike me as a valid reason to oppose a candidate for temporary adminship. —WFC— 03:14, 22 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

edit- Translations in MediaWiki namespace should be made on twn, not here. Vogone (talk) 12:04, 16 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- Yes, most of them can be transfered to twn and be deleted locally. (except the wikidata specific gadgets) Kind regards, Vogone (talk) 13:29, 16 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Ofcourse, but gedgets must be translate here (example). Moreover, I think, that I'll be helper in all work of admins in this project and all users especially polish language users. Karol007 talk 14:39, 17 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- I wouldn't agree on that Vogone. Translations, like the one I've been doing, while common to a lot of WMF projects, are a bit WD specific, so I think they should be done here. Perhaps we could take this up at WD:Project Chat? --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 19:52, 19 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- I noticed on recent changes that the candidate created 7 items at 02:15 on 21 December 2012, followed by 10 items at 02:16 (from Q1339953 to Q1340060). I can't decide whether that is the work of a user with more computer skills than I will ever have, or a user doing a short test of a highly experimental bot script, with a view to requesting bot permissions at some point in the near future once that script has been polished (no pun intended). Either way, automated labels were not added to the items in question (for instance, Q1339953 should have had the English and Vietnamese labels added: I've done so myself now). I'm not going to oppose this candidacy on the basis of a two-minute snapshot, but was wondering if Karol007 had any comments. —WFC— 03:17, 21 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- I totally forgot about adding labels. I'll check all my new items and I fix this (example). All my works from account "Karol007" they are never using bot scripts (any scripts and testing I doing with my KamikazeBot). I'm using Firefox and I have very simple working algorithm:
- mass open links in Wikipedia, for example table or category (Linky addon)
- when I have about 20-50 tabs, I check feedback from gadget, and clik when I need add item to Wikidata (left hand "ctrl+tab", right hand clicking),
- fast create new items,
- import interwiki (using slurpInterwiki gadget),
- mass clossing all tab (one klik in remove tabs addon).
- I have two monitors, because I have more space and I can fast working:) Karol007 talk 09:34, 21 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In grounds in my request, I concentrate on editing MediaWiki namespace, becouse my acivity in other works seemed to me very basal. With admin privileges, it is clear to me that it is my responsibility to help in deleting empty items, clean up requests for deletions, block vandals and protecting high-traffic pages. My way of thinking is from many years of work as a sysop of plWiki. I'm sorry, that I mislead you. Moreover, I'll can editing protected pages when will be neccessary.
