Mateuszek045 edit
The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- Unsuccessful: In the spirit of avoiding driving away a user who, for better or for worse, clearly wishes to positively contribute to this project, I'm going to close this early. From a purely mathematical standpoint, it's almost impossible for him to still pass with this much opposition. If people really disagree with this, they can revert me, but I think we've clearly all given Mateuszek a lot to think about here, and turning this into a pile-on will only serve to antogonize him.
- To Mateuszek: I strongly encourage you to go try to gain some more experience with Wikidata. Work on improving items, work with a task force or two, join community discussions, work in administrative areas. Please don't be discouraged. However, please remember that this community has in the past strongly condemned advertising one's RFP on other wikis. But we're a forgiving bunch, and if you show us you can learn from your mistakes, I think we'll be willing to forgive you and consider you for adminship again in a few months. — PinkAmpers&(Je vous invite à me parler) 13:07, 14 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm editor on Polish Wikipedia. I am active on Wikidata since 25 january 2013. I translate pages into Polish. When I'm administrator I can delete duplicates, protect high-traffic pages and grant autopatrol flags. I have near 600 edits and I'm active on many projects (over 12000 global edits). Wikidata have 2/3 polish administrators. It needs more. --Mateuszek045 (talk) 11:49, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Weak support This project has now reached a size where I'd like to see a bit more local experience, especially as you are currently not an admin on any other Wikimedia project. However, you do good work here and adminship is no big deal. Regards --Iste (D) 13:28, 9 March 2013 (UTC)changed to weak oppose --Iste (D) 17:32, 12 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]Neutral I am quite unsure. You definitely make good work here but I don't know whether 500 edits on Wikidata and no involvement in other multilingual communities are sufficient to show the required experiences with Wikidata and working with a multilingual community. As, per Iste, adminship is no big deal I don't want to oppose here. Kind regards, Vogone talk 15:05, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]Neutral per Vogone. - Neutral -- Good candidate but low in contributions, at least for now. Wagino 20100516 (talk) 05:08, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose lack of experience, and I don't like a lot of about this kind of stuff. --Stryn (talk) 19:18, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose for now per Stryn. Please come back later if you got more experience with Wikidata and its community. Regards, Vogone talk 19:25, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose - blatant canvassing in the link pointed out by Stryn.--Jasper Deng (talk) 22:00, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose because of lack of experience and canvassing. Lukas²³ talk in German Contribs 22:28, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- now Weak oppose because of canvassing issue --Iste (D) 17:32, 12 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Weak oppose I understand the urge to seek input from users who aren't active here but who would benefit from another admin who speaks their native language, but such users are by definition unable to make an informed opinion on a candidate's eligibility. — PinkAmpers&(Je vous invite à me parler) 01:41, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Support ( Extremely strong Support )
Because i think User:Mateuszek045 will probably make a GREAT Administrator. Mateuszek045 has been here on the English wiki-data since 25 - January - 2013 ( which is enough to become admin here on wiki -data ), has autopatrolled rights here ( but i'm pretty sure you also need the rollback right so that it can be moved in the admin flag ( or other user rights ) ), knows some of the policies/guidelines here, and is friendly, helpful and busy to other editors and pages, ( and other good things here ). I am definitely sure Mateuszek 045 will become a great, awesome, wonderful, and happy administrator with the mop and new tools than user can use. - Strong oppose per canvassing. --Rschen7754 07:59, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Weak oppose
I'm sorry, but asking people to vote for you is not a good signal :(I read the thread and although I don't like what I see, it cannot be considered canvassing, after all. My oppose comes in the form of experience. Gather a bit more of it, and I'll be happy to support in a near future. — ΛΧΣ21 06:22, 14 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- No, no... This [1] was not canvassing, only information for Polish users. Everyone can vote as he wants. This information doesn't contain any solicitation. I didn't know that I can't inform users. Mateuszek045 (talk) 12:01, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- A rough Google Translate of the comment clearly shows that you were asking for votes.--Jasper Deng (talk) 17:31, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- My pl-1.5 does not bring me to this conclusion, though I might be wrong of course.--Ymblanter (talk) 17:35, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- I think that mentioning that there are only two Polish admins in the comment would be clear vote-canvassing to me.--Jasper Deng (talk) 17:40, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- No, I do not think it is a clear vote canvassing, but ... how should I say ... it is not the smartest thing a candidate can do. (He did not get any votes here from Polish speakers anyway).--Ymblanter (talk) 17:44, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- (edit conflict) I don't share Jasper Deng's opinion as well (also via gtranslate). But I think Mateuszek045 should just gain some more experience with the community and come back later. If he continues his work I would support then. Regards, Vogone talk 17:42, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
