- I already made 3 test edits, see contributions. --Ricordisamoa 18:58, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment I suggest filing an RfC to see what the community thinks about this, it is a pretty big task and some people find it controversial. -- Cheers, Riley Huntley 16:47, 13 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Honestly, I don't care much of this task... --Ricordisamoa 17:11, 13 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- I don't think we need an RFC for this, maybe include it somewhere it can be seen but this page should act as the rfc in the first place as we are requesting community approval for the bot. Ricordisamoa, when you say 'at least some edits' how many were you thinking? Would you do any other checks? ·Add§hore· Talk To Me! 17:40, 13 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- With or without bot, doesn't matter, I am not a member of the fanclub of such activity. -- Lavallen (block) 18:10, 13 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Weak oppose, as I think automating the small amount of time it takes to welcome a new user is optimizing for the wrong thing. It's better to have a first talk page interaction with a real person than with a WelcomeBot -- the less templated, the better. Emw (talk) 18:29, 13 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
