EuroCarGT edit

EuroCarGT (talkcontribsnew itemsnew lexemesSULBlock logUser rights logUser rightsxtools)

I want to start helping the community here at WikiData. I have rollback and reviewer rights on the English Wikipedia (Verify) ///EuroCarGT 04:33, 16 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Not done, Hi please first actually make some edits and then come back here and I'd be more than happy to give you the rights. Legoktm (talk) 04:35, 16 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Made some edits. ///EuroCarGT 01:38, 17 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, you still don't quite have enough experience here for local rollback. You'll have to gain more tenure and edits here for consideration for this right.--Jasper Deng (talk) 01:52, 17 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not exactly sure why you think you need rollback EuroCarGT. The number of vandalism edits we get is tiny, and you could do far more for the project by bringing over data, helping solve interwiki conflicts, etc. than you could do with rollback. Sven Manguard Wha? 15:59, 17 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
To be fair, the amount of vandalism we get is significant, albeit much less than Wikipedia's.--Jasper Deng (talk) 07:14, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I want to revert quickly and I am rollbacker on the Chinese Wikipedia. Byfserag (talk) 07:22, 20 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Not done - I don't see any track record of reverting vandalism here. --Jakob (Scream about the things I've broken) 12:02, 20 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Pratyya Ghosh edit

Pratyya Ghosh (talkcontribsnew itemsnew lexemesSULBlock logUser rights logUser rightsxtools)

Hi, I'm Pratyya Ghosh. I'm an anti-vandal editor. I use global twinkle at Small Wikis. But in wikidata this global twinkle isn't working for some reason. So I have to undo vandal edits. That's why I'm requesting this right. In addition I'm rollbacker on en wiki, bn wiki, simple wiki and simple wiktionary. Moreover I'm an active member of Small Wiki Monitoring Team. Pratyya (Hello!) 08:43, 7 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Not done You have been only doing counter-vandalism work here for a day. Please stop attempting to collect user rights on Wikimedia.--Jasper Deng (talk) 08:50, 7 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Jasper Deng. But I've some objections. About the global rollback I asked that 6-7 months ago and knew almost 0% about global policy. I asked cause twinkle doesn't work at every wiki and didn't know about Global Twinkle. And about the test wiki bureaucrat rights I'm modifying or translating gadgets for bn.wiki. I translated that gadget and trying to modify that new gadget's of mine. To test that tool I wanted crat right and I would myself asked a steward to remove my crat rights after the test was done. Cause I didn't ask that permanently but for a test. I don't collect user rights. I ask only those rights which I need. Thanks in advance.--Pratyya (Hello!) 08:58, 7 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
This is kinda off-topic for this page, but that impression is less about whether you need the rights or not, but the profuseness with which you've been requesting them despite the requisite experience/knowledge for them.--Jasper Deng (talk) 09:07, 7 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not making any comment about this in this page. If I can I'll talk with you in IRC. As I've full respect at your decision so I'm again saying thanks for this quick decision. --Pratyya (Hello!) 09:14, 7 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
@Jasper Deng: Pratyya has done plenty of counter vandalism work, so it's reasonable to believe that he does need the rights here. --Jakob (Scream about the things I've broken) 14:18, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
@Pratyya Ghosh: I will give you a tip about how I got the rollback right. It is mass reverting. Good luck there! JianhuiMobile talk 16:04, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know why {{ping}} isn't working here. I wasn't ping by Jianhui. Anyway guys I think I can have the right. Cause I don't like undoing vandalism. I stated this earlier. Can I have it now?--Pratyya (Hello!) 13:49, 15 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Done, just be careful with it. --Jakob (Scream about the things I've broken) 14:48, 15 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I'll be careful.  --Pratyya (Hello!) 14:52, 15 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Cekli829 edit

Cekli829 (talkcontribsnew itemsnew lexemesSULBlock logUser rights logUser rightsxtools)

I want to try protect from vandalism/spam and help project. I'm admin in azwiki, azwikiquote and rollbacker in commonswiki, ruwiki... So I clearly understand how to use it. Thank you. --Cekli829 (talk) 09:20, 8 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • I disagree with it. Because of Wikidata's special features, users need experience here in order to receive rollback here. Regardless, when an admin marks something as not done, it should be honored, and if disputed, discussed.--Jasper Deng (talk) 18:07, 8 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'm sorry about giving them the rights instead of discussing it with you first, but it clearly states in our rollback policy that "Administrators may add the rollbacker flag to the accounts of users who: are generally trusted members of the community, preferably with at least some history in working against vandalism, or have a strong history of combating vandalism on other projects, and have shown a satisfactory understanding of how Wikidata works." If you disagree with the policy, maybe you should suggest a change to it. --AmaryllisGardener (talk) 20:31, 8 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • I interpret the last two as requiring counter-vandalism experience on Wikidata. My argument for refusing rollback privileges here is that Cekli829 has not proved that he/she is familiar with how to recognize vandalism on this wiki.--Jasper Deng (talk) 22:55, 8 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • If on other projects experienced users want the right, why not grant it? I fail to see the big difference between vandalism on Wikipedia and vandalism here. The diff view stays the same. Furthermore, the policy is clear in this point and if you wish to change it, this here is certainly not the right place for doing that. Vogone talk 23:15, 8 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Do you not see the difference between normal pages and our items? Anyways, I'm not inclined to grant this user rollback because I feel like he does not have the trust for it based on my criteria.--Jasper Deng (talk) 23:22, 8 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
For example: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5]. This service can be sure that I can do. I think 80 rollbacker for the project is very small. Best regards, --►Cekli829 16:26, 10 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It's only good if we get more rollbackers that someone don't need to do all this: [6]. --Stryn (talk) 17:05, 10 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Also, take into account that the 80 on that list doesn't include the 95 sysops. Also, since the user knows how to fight vandalism here, as shown by his examples (even if few), and clearly wants to help fight vandalism here, I'm inclined to grant this request. TCN7JM 17:10, 10 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Those reverts were only made today, which is not enough, in my opinion. I think he needs a bit more of time (like a week) for rollback.--Jasper Deng (talk) 21:28, 10 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

OK. Follow my activities ;) --►Cekli829 19:18, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Done I've decided to grant the rollback. Cekli829 has obviously done significant counter-vandalism work on Wikidata. --Jakob (Scream about the things I've broken) 12:41, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for trusting in me. ►Cekli829 13:27, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think I might have a use of the rollback permission on my mobile phone. Jianhui67 talkcontribs 05:58, 24 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Done - Bah, I erred in the "reason" box yet again, you're Jianhui67, not Jianhui...anyway, I granted the right because you seem to know what you're doing with rollback, and I don't have any reason to believe you'd misuse it on your mobile account. Cheers, TCN7JM 06:03, 24 November 2013 (UTC).[reply]
Nah, never mind about that. Don't make the same error again. And by the way, that was fast. Thanks! Jianhui67 talkcontribs 06:14, 24 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
