I recently started translating the Help-pages and other documentation to Swedish and have come across a number of small errors in the english pages. While these errors can be rectified by editing, it also means that these pages should be remarked for translation. Sometimes there is also a page such as Help:Property_constraints_portal/One_of which was changed in May last year, but still have not been remarked for translation. -I'd like to be able to fix these things myself as they occur. --Sturban (talk) 13:45, 23 February 2019 (UTC)

- @Ymblanter, Lymantria: -No discussion, no questions, and most importantly no granting of rights, is there something wrong with my request or why am I being ignored? -- Sturban (talk) 15:04, 4 March 2019 (UTC)

I'd like to request translation admin rights to help with marking pages for translation. There are currently 16 pages that have been altered since they were last marked for translation, and remarking them for translation lets changes propagate to other languages. I am a translation admin on mediawiki and meta, and am familiar with using the translation software. Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 09:46, 18 August 2019 (UTC)

- Oppose -- lacks the necessary competency, hat collecting tendencies also. Nick (talk) 18:15, 19 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Nick: why do you say that I lack the necessary competency? --DannyS712 (talk) 21:12, 19 August 2019 (UTC)
- Support. I, too, have concerns about how quickly this user's accumulating rights but I don't believe this inhibits his ability to work with the translation extension. Danny has done some good work on Meta already with the tool and Wikidata could use a user like him. Hiàn (talk)/editing on mobile account 00:52, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
- Support No concerns, already doing good work. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 16:35, 24 August 2019 (UTC)

Hi, I'd like to request translation admin rights to help with marking pages for translation. I am native German speaker, administrator on German Wikipedia. I already have more than 4000 edits in MediaWiki and more than 1000 edits in Wikidata, translated Manuals, Help-sites, I´ve read the documentation, tested it and translated parts of it, etc. Best regards --Partynia (talk) 17:16, 19 August 2019 (UTC)
- (Yes, i´ve translated in Wikimedia. This request is a redirect from there. But in the future I will translate also pages on WD. The beginning was the translation of the new bridge project in deWP).--Partynia (talk) 19:28, 19 August 2019 (UTC)

- Leaning support My opinion reflects your involvement on MediaWiki only, because you do not seem to have changed a WD Meta page. The principle is practically identical… —Eihel (talk) 17:40, 19 August 2019 (UTC)
- Comment If your motivation is translating, then you don't have to be an admin. --Matěj Suchánek (talk) 09:24, 20 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Matěj Suchánek, my motivation is not only translating, but mark pages for translation to different languages in Wikidata and Wikimedia.--Partynia (talk) 10:53, 20 August 2019 (UTC)

I have been translating for a while, I want to contribute more towards translations. this permission would be helpful for me to further my work. It will be also useful in my anti-vandalism(in translation space) work. thanks --QueerEcofeminist (talk) 15:17, 21 October 2019 (UTC)

@QueerEcofeminist: absence of discussion after ten days !? —Eihel (talk) 07:50, 11 December 2019 (UTC)
@Eihel:
I am surprised to see why my silence to personal attack is taken as absence of discussion? I have been working on translations on data, meta and commons too. I havn't stopped my work. And I don't think my translations have issues! It's just that I missed Ymblater's question. Yes I need the flag. thanks QueerEcofeminist (talk) 14:49, 11 December 2019 (UTC)
- @QueerEcofeminist, Ymblanter: Well, I still Support you, but I'm not hiding from you that I was waiting for a reaction ;P —Eihel (talk) 16:29, 11 December 2019 (UTC)
