Stop tagging edits after they were made edit

@Sigma'am, ԱշոտՏՆՂ, Emptyfear, VASHGIRD, Marat-avgust: The old versions of this gadget on hywiki, tgwiki and ttwiki still add the InfoboxExport tag to the edit after it has been made (in a separate API call), rather than at the same time as the edit, as the latest version does (since Special:Diff/1017328638). This will soon stop working due to a proposed config change (permalink, task): it will only be possible to add tags together with edits, not separately. Please update the gadget code on these three wikis accordingly – either use the latest version (like azwiki, bewiki and ruwiki do: loading it from Wikidata), which already does the right thing, or change the code to pass tags: with the initial action: 'wbsetclaim' call. (Also CCing Ավետիսյան91, Kareyac and 23artashes, who recently used old versions of the gadget according to Special:Log/tag – maybe you can bring this up with interface admins at your local wiki?) --Lucas Werkmeister (talk) 12:52, 13 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Lucas Werkmeister:, In Tajik Wikipedia we do not have an interface administrator... What should we do? — VASHGIRD (talk) 06:34, 15 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
@VASHGIRD: According to tg:Special:UserGroupRights, regular administrators also have the editinterface right there, so you should be able to edit the gadget. (The same thing is true on hywiki and ttwiki as well, apparently.) Lucas Werkmeister (talk) 09:02, 15 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Lucas Werkmeister: Unfortunately, this is not the case when editing a message like "You do not have permission to edit this JavaScript page because it may affect all visitors." appears to me. --VASHGIRD (talk) 09:12, 15 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
@VASHGIRD: Hm, that’s very strange… in that case, I assume you’ll need to ask a Steward, either to make the change themselves or to appoint one or more of you as interface admins on that wiki. Lucas Werkmeister (talk) 17:58, 15 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Lucas Werkmeister: The very purpose of the introduction of interface administrators was that the editinterface right is no longer enough to edit JavaScript pages, one needs editsitejs as well (editsitecss to edit CSS pages). The only local group that has these two rights (and this is actually enforced in CommonSettings.php) is the interface administrators; if a wiki has no local interface admins, only global groups (including stewards and global interface editors) can help. —Tacsipacsi (talk) 22:46, 15 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Tacsipacsi: Thanks, I got confused by the Commons interface admins group. @VASHGIRD: please get in touch with some steward or global interface editor; meta:Interface editors § Communication suggests that meta:Steward requests/Miscellaneous might be the right forum for that, but I’m not sure. Lucas Werkmeister (talk) 18:41, 16 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
The config change has been deployed now, so the old version of the gadget will start to produce errors (and edits won’t be tagged properly). It looks like hywiki has an interface admin now who updated the gadget (great!); tgwiki and ttwiki folks, please find a way to update your copy of the gadget. Coordinates edit

Can I do to export coordinates?--Takhirgeran Umar (talk) 02:00, 10 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Putnik.--Takhirgeran Umar (talk) 07:28, 6 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Takhirgeran Umar, there is no possibility to export coordinates right now, but I would like to add this feature soon. Unfortunately, the coordinates are difficult to parse, so not all coordinates can be processed. If would be nice if you give some examples of pages from which you would like to export coordinates to Wikidata. —putnik 20:49, 10 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Typically, in Russian and in many other Wikipedias there are two formats. Examples

Here

| lat_deg = 53.437764
| lon_deg = 42.055706

Here

| lat_deg = 54| lat_min = 20| lat_sec = 36
| lon_deg = 48| lon_min = 14| lon_sec =15

I will soon provide a Chechen translation for the interface. Thanks for the answer!--Takhirgeran Umar (talk) 21:18, 10 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Takhirgeran Umar, this gadget doesn't use the source code, it only works with the HTML. I added support for coordinates, and now it should work in cases, when coordinates are displayed inside infobox. I can't say if it works in Chechen Wikipedia right now. —putnik 16:01, 11 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Putnik The coordinate does not work in Chechen export. Takhirgeran Umar (talk) 21:22, 11 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Takhirgeran Umar, I've updates ce:Модуль:WikidataCoords, so it should work now. —putnik 21:27, 11 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Putnik Thank you very much! Takhirgeran Umar (talk) 21:32, 11 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Don't edit (painting) series edit

I often have to revert edits like these. @Putnik: (or someone else) Can you update the tool to skip series items like painting series (Q15727816)? List of these items based on Commons: painting series (Q15727816), sculpture series (Q19479037), artwork series (Q15709879), group of sculptures (Q27031439), group of paintings (Q18573970), polyptych (Q1278452), diptych (Q475476), triptych (Q79218). You probably also want to update the local infobox to flag Wikipedia articles so that users can add the Qid for the right work of art locally to the infobox. Multichill (talk) 16:42, 31 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Multichill, I don't think that this is a good idea. Here we need to understand what causes incorrect imports, and not just exclude entire classes.
1) If collection (P195) conflicts with some of this classes, then we can add constraints for this right to the property.
2) It is possible that the interwiki is incorrect, and the Wikipedia article is only about one picture, then it need to be fixed.
3) Also, the article can be about a series, but only one picture is described in the infobox. At least in the Russian Wikipedia, it can be fixed by linking infobox to the correct item. E.g. [1] or [2].
It is also always possible to use applies to part (P518) qualifier in such cases. —putnik 20:15, 31 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

form of creative work (P7937) edit

form of creative work (P7937) should only be recommended on articles that are album (Q482994). Right now it's also recommending it on extended play (Q169930) where it is not supposed to be used. Lectrician1 (talk) 19:22, 21 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Duration export bug edit

Беларуская лякалізацыя edit

@Putnik:, Biełarusan version is completed but doesn’t work. Instead, English language messages are still used. Example: for instance, be-tarask:Абэрдарскі хрыбет. Taravyvan Adijene (talk) 16:12, 31 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Typo edit

There is a typo in the German version at the bottom, saying: "Eigenschafts-Wert aus einer Infobox nach Wikidta exportieren?" instead of "Eigenschafts-Wert aus einer Infobox nach Wikidata exportieren?". Thanks, Ankermast (talk) 15:10, 5 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Ankermast: As far as I see, it needs to be fixed in https://github.com/putnik/infobox-export/blob/v4.0/src/i18n/de.json. I also noticed that while this message uses Eigenschafts-Wert, another one uses Eigenschaftswert, so probably one of them should also be fixed. Which one? —Tacsipacsi (talk) 16:25, 6 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hello, Eigenschaftswert should be the correct spelling. M2k~dewiki (talk) 16:26, 6 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
