Translation edit

Hello.

Can you create en:Military history of Azerbaijan in Bhojpuri, Bihari and Hindi Wikipedias?

Yours sincerely, Sarvathi (talk) 06:34, 6 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Sarvathi, I will try. Bhojpuri (bho) is a language of Bihari (bh) group and the confusion is due to assignment of ISO code because Bhojpuri wikipedia uses the code "bh". --SM7--talk-- 12:53, 6 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Gurjara-Pratihara (Q5324) edit

Hi SM7, I've seen that you edited the Hindi description of rajput (mughalput) (Q337487) in a fashion that seems reasonable to me. Maybe you could have a look at the Hindi description of Gurjara-Pratihara (Q5324), too? There are a lot of users changing it back and forth and I don't feel competent on this subject to judge what is neutral. Cheers, Dorades (talk) 19:22, 10 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello @Dorades, the main dispute is about the origin of this dynasty and the groups clearly wish to omit either 'Gurjar' or 'Pratihar'. While the title itself contains both, it is good to omit both from description and just mention it being a dynasty in India. I have edit to make it that way. I believe this page may need at least semi-protection if the edit-war continues further. Regards. --SM7--talk-- 07:29, 11 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thank you very much! If I notice more problematic edits in the future, I will ask for semi-protection of the item (or you can do that yourself of course). Kind regards, --Dorades (talk) 15:21, 12 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
I've asked for help now. --Dorades (talk) 18:30, 14 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Maybe you could have also a look at Rawal Jaisal (Q7296915), similar problem there. Regards, --Dorades (talk) 18:35, 14 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Dorades yes, this too was Gurjar-Rajput war. --SM7--talk-- 18:48, 14 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Dorades Is there any way to monitor changes by language? i.e. if I wish to look for changes only for Hindi (or any other) language. --SM7--talk-- 18:50, 14 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for taking care of the description!
I am not sure about monitoring language changes, but WD:PC would be a good place to ask. --Dorades (talk) 18:34, 15 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Dorades, Actually I have found one. here one can log in and select "Type of edits terms" and then a filter box appears where one can choose language code. It is useful. I will try encouraging some hiwiki patrollers to use this tool to keep an eye on such edits. Let us hope this would help us. --SM7--talk-- 19:17, 15 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Sounds good, thank you! Let me know if I can help you in any way with that. --Dorades (talk) 19:24, 15 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
