Citizenship edit

I notice you added [https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q26944798&curid=28836863&diff=491459772&oldid=449724246 this. While I applaud your effort, in this instance you are mistaken. There was no such thing as a "German" citizen until 22 July 1913, when the Reichs- und Staatsangehörigkeitsgesetz was passed. Prior to that, people were citizens of the various states which formed the German Empire, e.g. the Kingdom of Prussia.

I don't know when the concept of state citizenship was firmly established in other parts of the world. I just know that it happened gradually, and in some German states there was no legislature on it until the mid-19th century.

So please keep in mind that, no matter how "German" someone seems, the cannot have been German citizens if they died before July 22, 1913.

Thanks and have fun, Jonathan Groß (talk) 11:00, 30 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Edit: Same goes for this. South Korea was established in the 1950s. Jonathan Groß (talk) 11:02, 30 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thanks very much for the insight Jonathan. All the directives will be taken with care. Eugene233 (talk) 21:49, 10 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Here you added the citizenship as Slovak for Kiss Árpád. This is wrong, he never had Slovak citizenship, only Hungarian and Romanian. He was born in 1916 in Pozsony that time a city of Hungary. After a time he moved to Cluj, Romania. Please, add only verified informations. Wikizoli (talk) 11:30, 14 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the correction Wikizoli. It is noted. Eugene233 (talk) 06:46, 15 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Representation of Wikidata at the Wikimedia movement strategy process edit

Hi Eugene233, I'm contacting you because I would like your support and your comments on my proposal to represent the Wikidata community at the Wikimedia movement strategy process. I'm contacting you in private because you are a member of the Wikidata Community User Group and I thought that this could be relevant for you.--Micru (talk) 17:43, 19 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please review batch edits and correct errors edit

You have added numerous incorrect language of work or name (P407) statements directly to items, such as Special:Diff/1531029828. I assume this was supposed to be a qualifier on one of the pronunciation audio (P443) statements, as all pronunciation audio (P443) statements should have a language of work or name (P407) qualifier. Also some of the labels look incorrect, such as Special:Diff/1529241278. Can you please review your batch edits and correct all errors? Thanks! –LiberatorG (talk) 16:32, 20 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello LiberatorG,
Thank you very much for checking on this. I have reverted the batch successfully. I probably entered the wrong commands. Could you please suggest what a typical command would be to add the qualifier for an entity's pronunciation audio? Eugene233 (talk) 11:50, 21 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
In this case language of work or name (P407) should be a qualifier of pronunciation audio (P443) instead of a statement; the syntax depends on what input format is used in QuickStatements. But it looks like you got those straightened out; thanks! However it looks like the error Special:Diff/1529241278 is still there. I don't know the language so I don't know how many other errors there are, but it would be great if you could check the labels that you added. –LiberatorG (talk) 16:15, 21 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
