Peerage edit

Hoi, you request deletion of people who are known to be "peerage".. That discussion is best placed on having notability for peerage not for individuals. Thanks, GerardM (talk) 07:09, 9 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Why are you removing links between people? Are the links incorrect, or are you doing it to game the deletion process, since linked entries automatically get saved? --RAN (talk) 03:04, 19 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Bovlb. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Q75891085 because it didn't appear constructive. Feel free to use the sandbox for test edits. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Hi again! Per this discussion, I and several others have spent some time fixing up problems caused by your deletion of apparently-correct links from items before nominating them for deletion. This sequence misled the deleting admin into thinking that these items had no structural links and were therefore eligible for deletion. Please try to avoid doing this in future, and please join us in finding and fixing any similar problems we might have missed. Cheers, Bovlb (talk) 23:23, 20 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Edit on Ingrid Alexandra av Norge (Q165249) edit

Your edits where you add the entire primary school education are not necessary. Maybe we should stick to high school and further education? Or there will be a lot of information in the infobox. --JOestby (talk) 14:15, 9 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

At least as far as English Wikipedia is concerned, I believe it is acceptable to have earlier education included in the infobox so long as the school has a Wikipedia page of its own. In any case, Ingrid Alexandra's page uses Template:Infobox royalty, which does not support an education/alma mater parameter. So, regardless, having that info on Wikidata would not clutter her infobox. That being said, Wikipedia editors generally type out infoboxes on the edit page manually as opposed to simply importing from Wikidata. Also, as I understand it, Wikidata works differently from Wikipedia in that all relevant information is added. ~ Iamthecheese44 (talk) 18:05, 9 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Call for participation in a task-based online experiment edit

Dear Iamthecheese44,

I hope you are doing good,

I am Kholoud, a researcher at King's College London, and I work on a project as part of my PhD research, in which I have developed a personalised recommender system that suggests Wikidata items for the editors based on their past edits. I am collaborating on this project with Elena Simperl and Miaojing Shi.

I am inviting you to a task-based study that will ask you to provide your judgments about the relevance of the items suggested by our system based on your previous edits.

Participation is completely voluntary, and your cooperation will enable us to evaluate the accuracy of the recommender system in suggesting relevant items to you. We will analyse the results anonymised, and they will be published to a research venue.

The study will start in early April 2022, and it should take no more than 30 minutes. If you agree to participate in this study, please either contact me at kholoud.alghamdi@kcl.ac.uk or use this form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSees9WzFXR0Vl3mHLkZCaByeFHRrBy51kBca53euq9nt3XWog/viewform?usp=sf_link

I will contact you with the link to start the study.

For more information about the study, please read this post: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/User:Kholoudsaa In case you have further questions or require more information, don't hesitate to contact me through my mentioned email.

Thank you for considering taking part in this research.

Regards
