Hi Purkii, stumbled accross your change for aliases and official name (P1448), and found English/German names for Czech aliases. Retrieved from [1] the given Czech name is Divadlo na Vídeňce (Theater an der Wien) (I would assume only Divadlo na Vídeňce). But not the given alias names Playhouse of imperial and royal privilege Theater an der Wien, Kaiserl. Königl. privilegiertes Schauspielhaus Theater an der Wien, Theater an der Wien -The New Opera House, which are crude mixtures of German / English. Dear @Herzi Pinki:, thank you very much for advising me about this, you're right. I am in a process of uploading the data about mainly Czech Theatres and I have overlooked that several of them are from foreign countries but available in Czech as well. Zdravím @Jklamo, Jklamo:, chápu, že na to upozorňujete, nesedí to pouze dočasně, neboť tam bude jiná url, kterou jsem ve vlastnosti ID osoby v IDU P8385 dnes změnil URL pro zformátování, ještě se ještě ukazuje stará. Děkuji tedy moc za upozornění, je to nesprávně pouze dočasně.

Prosím, když přidáváte záznam tak se ujistěte, že jde o skutečně o to osobu, přidávat záznam je podle shody jména je nesmysl např. přidáváte záznam k Miroslavu Černému, ale jde o jinou osobu, než je v IDU, protože jde o textaře, ne skladatele stejného jména, který je pod zmíněným záznamem. --Hal2003 (talk) 16:35, 19 September 2020 (UTC)

Hello, you have connected Q3075039 to Q109497599 and vice versa. However, Q3075039 is a theatre in Copenhagen, Denmark, while Q109497599 is a theatre company in Oslo, Norway. Of course it could theoretically be possible that the Norwegian company has used the Danish theatre building, but I suspect this to be an error. To me, these theatres do not seem to have anything in common besides having similar namens (both meaning just "People's Theatre" in their respective languages). --slg (talk) 12:48, 28 July 2022 (UTC)

I am Kholoud, a researcher at King's College London, and I am working on a project as part of my PhD research, in which I have developed a personalised recommender model that suggests Wikidata items for the editors based on their past edits. I am inviting you to a task-based study that will ask you to provide your judgments about the relevance of the items suggested by our model based on your previous edits. Participation is completely voluntary, and your cooperation will enable us to evaluate the accuracy of the recommender system in suggesting relevant items to you. We will analyse the results anonymised, and they will be published to a research venue.

The study should take no more than 15 minutes.

Massive separating Wikidata items about theatres are broking some maintenance workflow

Hi! Your works by massive separating Wikidata items about theatres are lead to disfunctionality some maintenance workflow, that supported by many users across Russian Wikipedia, Russian Wikivoyage and Commons.
Your enthusiasm is understandable, but you shouldn't have started this without consulting the other involved users. These actions should be supported by many other works for separating Commons categories, extracting content about buildings into separate articles, etc. Also some WD values, that you extract into separate items, in past was indicates in the Wikipedia article infoboxes. And now they're missing there, and we're going to have to make a significant effort to fix that.

We not planned these works in current summer, and we are extremely disappointed that lot of users will now have to adjust their plans. Not every job that can technically and formally be done should be done in this mode, without proper community preparation.

Now please note, that value of property kulturnoe-nasledie.ru ID (P1483) also should moved into item aimed to theatral building. Kaganer (talk) 10:27, 24 May 2023 (UTC)

Please, correct me if I am wrong, but you are not objecting that what I do is wrong in itself, but that it caused inconvenience and it is actually not complete

as in the cases you mentioned it has to be fixed as well. I am aware of the complexity and try to minimaze the impact, I certainly won't be doing that for Russia then.

But in circumstances where our resources are limited, we thought it acceptable to "follow the article configuration" rather than to create in advance new WD items, that are not linked to any Wikipedia article. I certainly understand your considerations. If can we both agree that it is a step forward with some negative ramifications, what about to lessen them? Would then positives

outweight the negatives in some constelation? Without you consent I won't do anything as I respect your objections, but if we are discussing this already, let me then leave following up to your consideration in case you would find it reasonable.

I can detect another 40 items that are conflated. If I always leave theatre building and create theatre organization, always leave Commons by the building, then I suppose it wouldn't mess up that much with Russian Wikivoyage and Commons. The backlinks would be assigned to appropriate item. I would leave also all wikisites by the original. It then wouldn't be technically wrong, just incomplete and you would know what is roughly where. Then I would provide you with the list of so adapted items. I would be then able to connect these items to several external identifiers and add label and description for Czech, where applicable or provide you with a list with missing labels or descriptions on these items as well.
