Tool per le immagini su wikidata

Ciao, ti contatto qui perché sto "spammando" da quasi tre mesi un messaggio a alcune utenze a vocazione locale "media" o "forte" su itWikipedia. Mi ricordo che tu hai una certa attenzione per la Toscana.

Visto che sembra un lavoro abbastanza compreso anche da utenti meno esperti di wikidata ti segnalo questo. Se metti per esempio a "article" "it" e "Firenze" avrai l'insieme di items/elementi di wikidata segnalati come mancanti di immagine vicino a Firenze. Come puoi vedere dalla tua esperienza, non si tratta a volte di una reale mancanza di immagini nella wiki locale o su commons, in molti casi l'immagine c'è manca solo qui su Wikidata da inserire. Il numero di elementi dipende dal raggio (radius) che metti, e di default è 5 km. L'obiettivo è mettere la giusta image, se esiste già, sull'elemento wikidata, e al limite inserire anche la commons category, se esiste anch'essa già.

Segnalo come a altri qui o qua puoi trovare una spiegazione più accurata lasciata a altri utenti.

Soprattutto è importante che chi crea queste voci (e quindi indirettamente gli elementi di wikidata) impari a inserire queste informazioni prima o poi fin da subito.

Te lo segnalo come con altre utenze "locali" perché limitatamente all'Italia abbiamo poche centinaia di utenti per 8000 comuni, e quasi nessuno ha ancora ripulito/sincronizzato commons e wikidata riguardo alla sua zona. Ognuno che se ne occupa è benvenuto. Si trovano voci di località, stazioni ferroviarie, chiese, palazzi, piazze, vie etc (alcune a cui magari tu stesso hai contribuito) e appunto come accennato molte immagini esistono già (sono segnalate come mancanti su wikidata perché nessuno le ha inserite). Sarebbe utile di rimuovere i "falsi positivi" delle mancanze segnalate in modo da poter capire meglio dove si trovano le mancanze vere. Così se hai tempo tu come altri potrete andare di persona a fotografarle. O magari chissà possiamo usare questo strumento per farci un bel concorso, un giorno (sperare non costa nulla). Uno strumento basato su wikidata è più centrale, ed utilizzabile da ogni utente wiki di altre lingue o progetti anche se solo di passaggio, mentre strumenti come il template richiesta immagini in locale sono poco conosciuti fuori da una specifica wiki.

Questo è solo uno dei possibili strumenti, ce ne sono molti altri e spero mano mano di spiegare a chi è interessato come funzionano e come questo alla lunga migliori la possibilità di trovare nuove immagini, oltre a ricevere feedback su come migliorarli ancora.

Sto lavorando per colmare il gap fra commons e data, ho sempre lavorato sulla comunicazione fra aree distanti in questi anni. Con Incola stiamo preparando una lista di utenti commons qualificati (e cis sarai anche tu) a cui spedire un mass messagge con tutti gli strumenti più avanzati. Come detto altre volte io non vendo aspirapolveri, quindi che data abbia problemi sono il primo a dirlo. Confido solo che accelerando il trasferimento di competenze possa cambiare rotta dove serve ai contributori. Con gli utenti italiani ho iniziato con informazioni manuali su un solo strumento, il mssaggio è calibrato ai neofiti che nemmeno sanno che wikidata esiste e non sono ancora "delusi". Per ora. Ti ho lasciato il messaggio per via di Vecchiano, altrimenti ti avrei contattato fra qualche mese via mass message su commons.

Decameron editions

Hi Sailiko, to complete Wikidata:Lists/Decameron editions and translations, I went through files on Commons and came across File:Giovanni boccaccio, decamerone, per f.lli zoppini e fari, venezia 1588, 01.jpg. The page shows MDLXXIII (1573) as Q43472747, would this be correct or is it the one in the filename (1588). The filename has some other inconsistencies compared to the text on the page. There are 5 or 6 other images in the series.

Don't merge ...

... only because two item have the same label!

You merged:

• instance of (P31): monument (Q4989906)

with

• instance of (P31): zone of Rome (Q3575964) [2]

Two years after that catalog was published, it received a big donation with paintings by Signorelli, Sassoferrato, Trevisani, Pittoni, Borgianni and others, which will only be catalogued in the future. Be aware that this information is false with the same reference. Please read the summary first before undo. Adding incorrect information is vandalism. The removal of referenced information is also considered as vandalism, see WD:VAND. And lastly, if you could reference as shown in WD:S, that would be good. Hello Eihel, I am not sure what I did wrong. There is a lot of wrong birth dates in wikidata and I just tried to fix the one of this artist according to "Dizionario Biografico degli Italiani", which is the most important source for biographies of Italy. In the their article they clearly state that Nalding was born on 3 May 1535, and not 1537 according to a wrong information after Borghini's book. There are Items with multiple dates. On the other hand, if all you do is change the date and leave the same reference, it is illogical and false. I wonder why you didn't understand the above example which is crystal clear. I repeat: someone puts a date and adds a reference, then you just change the date. Suppose I change your entry with the Traccani ref to the date November 11, 111 without explanation, what do you conclude? My modifications do not give the solution to the root of the problem: you must not change what is referenced (unless this ref is false or the value is completely false) and the data must be referenced. This is valid for dates, but also for all other data. The fact that you are protesting does not change that. See the links I gave you in my first post. Merging

Hi! You merged Borel set (Q21086747) to Borel algebra (Q1080067). It was absolutely wrong: they are completely different things, like a goverment and a minister, government consists of ministers, you should not merge them. If you need to add interwikies, please use Template:Interwiki extra (Q21286810) instead, like this. Wikisaurus (talk) 17:36, 21 February 2022 (UTC)

Moreover, I checked you merges and, although most were correct, unmerged a couple of cases:

• Five-Columns Monument (Q55611734) and Decennalia Base (Q2398489), which are object (monument) and its part (base of one of the columns, which is the main surviving part of it, see en:Five-Columns_Monument#Decennalia_base);
• perspective box (Q64018333) and zograscope (Q1553000), they were specially untangled by user:Peccadille before, so it was probably a wrong merge (Peccadille, it would be nice if you confirm or reject it);
• Saint Bernardino Oratory and Diocesan Museum of Holy Art (Q23054626) and Diocesan Museum of Holy Art (Q19426724), which are object (museum organization) and its part (main museum);
• Category:Province of Florence (Q8803503) and Category:Metropolitan City of Florence (Q21250471), which are correspond to two separate elements Province of Florence (Q16172) and Metropolitan City of Florence (Q18288148), although the first was replaced by the last.
