Motivation edit

This property could be really useful (eg. for infoboxes), it's about a kind of data spread in different world countries (as explained in en.wp and it.wp articles) and, not secondarily, we have ready data for all Italian towns. Ferdi2005[Mail] 19:12, 7 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion edit

It is a data important for energy saving related to building heating and it will be more relevant due to the green energy transition. Bramfab (talk) 20:12, 7 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Ferdi2005, Luca.favorido, Sabas88, Parma1983, Carlobia, Patafisik:   Done, though see Property talk:P9496#Further details (User:99of9's concern can be solved pretty neatly with specific units). I'm assuming here that Italy uses one uniform kind of degree day; if there are multiple reckonings in use, please correct Italian degree day (Q106651574) accordingly.
