Motivation edit
It would be nice to have a qualifier for number of viewers/listeners (P5436) to indicate likes/dislikes & comment count. In addition to mandatory qualifier point in time & determination method.Germartin1 (talk) 21:50, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
Discussion edit
- number of viewers/listeners (P5436) is mostly applied to services and series that this wouldn't apply to, can you clarify the expected domain where these qualifiers would be useful? YouTube or Facebook videos? Tweets? ArthurPSmith (talk) 18:41, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
- I was just thinking of Youtube, but it could be used for other sites too. Germartin1 (talk) 16:00, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
- @ArthurPSmith: any idea, would YouTube video ID (P1651) or any other video/music/podcast ID be sufficient for a qualifier, Germartin1 (talk) 21:17, 20 December 2021 (UTC)

- I would be willing to write a bot to populate these (assuming the API includes the data) but I'm not sure how many items these are really applicable to. A lot of items tagged with YouTube video ID (P1651) are not good candidates for these properties. For example often music videos for songs or trailers for movies are attached to items. Does it make sense for us to track the comments on a trailer for a movie? I think I'd want to see more discussion of which kinds of items we want these properties on. BrokenSegue (talk) 19:09, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
- @BrokenSegue: Yes you're right it, it does not make sense for many items, I'm working on importing podcast episodes and SNL sketches, so in that case it makes sense and if the video 100% corresponds to the item. I could give you list with P31 that would make sense to be imported. Germartin1 (talk) 20:42, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
- Btw is your code public, I wrote a code to download all youtube videos of a certain channel, happy to share it too. Germartin1 (talk) 21:19, 20 December 2021 (UTC)

- Support Useful properties for instances of YouTube video (Q63412991) (883 at the moment) and other streaming sites that would have the feature of likes, dislikes and number of comments. -- Rdrg109 (talk) 17:43, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
- Support These should be qualifiers as well for the various video and post properties. Perhaps a "number of reposts" as well in the future. Likes are shown on the profiles of TikTok users, so it could be a qualifier for TikTok username (P7085). AntisocialRyan (Talk) 20:11, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
- Bump. These properties will be really helpful. Been ready for a while. AntisocialRyan (Talk) 22:14, 16 April 2022 (UTC)
- Question what's the planned maximum update frequency for these properties? Maybe we should agree on that before creating the properties and added it to the proposals above. For social media followers, the idea is to get data once a year, maximum once every quarter. --- Jura 15:03, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Jura1: sounds good to me. But I'm not sure why you marked them not ready. Germartin1 (talk) 03:01, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
- Can you complete whatever is agreed on in the proposal under "allowed values"?
- Looking at it in more detail, the proposal (description, samples, domain) doesn't really seem to match the description in the motivation. Can you add full statements as samples and complete domain? Also, "allowed units" should probably be none. --- Jura 09:24, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
