Motivation
editThose are identifiers by local associations for Stolpersteine. They can help to track down duplicate Stolpersteine in Wikidata and other inconsistencies, something that I find occasionally. Furthermore, the biographies — all the five sites have them — may provide additional material to support items for the commemorated people and to reconcile to them.
- Most of the close to 8800 Stolpersteine in Berlin are in the database of stolpersteine-berlin.de with the address, the name and a biography of the commemorated and date at which the Stolperstein got laid. As of now about half of those Stolpersteine are in Wikidata.
- Nearly every of the about 5900 Stolpersteine in Hamburg are in the database of stolpersteine-hamburg.de with the address next to which the Stolperstein is placed and the name of the commemorated and inscriptions. Some are enriched with biographies of the commemorated and thus is linked in the German Wikipedia list articles. To be able to replicate those lists based on Wikidata, the identifier would be needed. Wikidata is pretty much complete regarding Stolpersteine located in Hamburg and is only missing some not yet documented Stolpersteine from about a week ago.
- Most, if not all, of the about 2400 Stolpersteine in Cologne are in the database of their NS-Documentation Center with the commemorated name, address, usually pictures and sometimes biographies as well. Most Stolpersteine from Cologne are missing in Wikidata currently.
- Every or close to every of the more than 720 Stolpersteine in Bremen (not Bremerhaven) are in the database of stolpersteine-bremen.de. It usually contains the address, a biography and the and date at which the Stolperstein got laid. These Stolpersteine are currently connected via described at URL (P973) to this external database. Wikidata should be complete regarding Stolpersteine located in Bremen.
- Likely every of the more than 600 Stolpersteine located in Norway have an id by the Oslo Jewish Museum. Albeit the smallest, likely the most complete database since from Norway only 772 Jews were deported[1]. It is used by every but two items for Stolpersteine in Norway currently as a source. The Stolpersteine were added in 2017 and therefore a third is missing as of now.
