Motivation edit

This cell line database maps to several databases that already have Wikidata properties, especially Cellosaurus ID (P3289) and Cell Line Ontology ID (P2158), through which most of the cell lines indexed in hPSCreg already have Wikidata items. Note that hPSCreg entries are based on names for cell lines, not identifiers. As the names change, the location of the information in hPSCreg is updated, with the original name redirecting to the current one (example: ISMMSe002-B now redirects to WAe001-A-2). In Wikidata, this could be reflected by tagging the ISMMSe002-B statement as deprecated and the WAe001-A-2 one as preferred. conflict of interest (Q211067): I recently joined the team at Fraunhofer Institute for Biomedical Engineering (Q1167435) which runs Human Pluripotent Stem Cell Registry (Q106457711).
