Discussion

  •   Comment I don't think we allow two properties with the same label, do we? So if this is to be done it would need a different English label I think. "of lexeme" perhaps? In any case, the provided examples are surely better handled with a "said to be the same as (lexeme)" direct link, rather than this indirect approach. Also I would hope the duplicate issue gets resolved quickly and we won't even have this issue in the future, so I'd argue that doing anything to handle these particular cases now is premature. •   Oppose for two reason:
    1. This property name is unreasonably vague, when the proposal has a clear purpose for it.
    2. Duplicate Lexemes are much better marked using a "duplicate Lexeme" property.
@Jura1: In what situations would you expect us to need to have duplicate Lexemes (rather than two Lexemes that are spelled the same and closely related?) Deryck Chan (talk) 16:33, 18 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  •   Oppose Of allows people to put information into Wikidata without really specifying the relationship. I think it's much better to have more specific properties. ChristianKl17:59, 1 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  •   Oppose Why not just let John know that he made some duplicate lexemes? It worked out well when I did it. Mahir256 (talk) 22:05, 1 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
