More of the same spam  — billinghurst sDrewth 11:03, 5 October 2015 (UTC)

On hold since it still has a sitelink - Nikki (talk) 11:41, 5 October 2015 (UTC)
This might take a while. The Japanese decided to change the speedy deletion in a normal deletion request. Mbch331 (talk) 08:28, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
@Mbch331: Can we get jaWP to have a full discussion about the vandal, and getting speedy deletion of their additions, and a reference point at jaWP to point speedy requests.  — billinghurst sDrewth 00:24, 8 October 2015 (UTC)
I don't speak or read Japanese. I added the page to my follow list, so I would know when it was deleted. I got a message something was changed and with the help of google translate I found out they changed speedy into normal. Mbch331 (talk) 08:56, 8 October 2015 (UTC)
And now a new article on Polish Wikipedia (Q1551807) (link). @Billinghurst: I guess there's not much else we can do!?! Jared Preston (talk) 11:08, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
Thanks to User:Staszek99 for deleting the Polish link so quickly! I suggest you "salt" it to protect it from re-creation in the future. Jared Preston (talk) 12:10, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
@Staszek99: apart from salting, I would recommend an abuse filter for added text for this goon. I can poke the global abuse filter to plWP for your review if that suits. Or start a plWP discussion about this vandal. Two years of egotistical edits shows that he will persist, and that we simply have to ramp up at every wiki.

Thanks for the ping Jared Preston, we simply need to start pinging admins at those abused wikis and ask them to lift their efforts. Noting that frWP is in the process of looking to add global abuse filters for their wiki. Of course the goon will persist, and we just keep tightening the screws.  — billinghurst sDrewth 00:24, 8 October 2015 (UTC)

@Nikki: For JR and like CoI spam, I had previously deleted links, and was told not to do so. If the local rules don't allow link removal of spam articles, and the local rules of a wiki means that this global spam is going to be considered content, then maybe it is time to get a global ban on this bloke and his additions. @Mardetanha: at this point. Should this more general discussion belong elsewhere, if so, please point to where you would like it.  — billinghurst sDrewth 00:27, 8 October 2015 (UTC)
@billinghurst: Having looked at the Japanese page and read the comments on their request for deletion page via Google Translate (my Japanese isn't that good :)), it seems that the speedy deletion was removed because there was already an open deletion request, and trying to do a speedy deletion came across like trying to circumvent the existing deletion request. The votes so far are deletes anyway.
More general discussion does belong somewhere other than this page, since as soon as the item gets deleted, the bot will archive this request. :) I'm not sure whether you mean somewhere else on Wikidata, or on another wiki. For general discussion, Meta-Wiki seems like the most logical place to me, since it's about crosswiki spam. For discussion about Wikidata's notability policy, Wikidata:Notability/Exclusion criteria's talk page or Wikidata:Project chat are more appropriate places, although it doesn't seem like any wiki wants to keep any of these articles so far, so it doesn't seem like changes are actually needed right now (if we expected this to remain notable we would just close the request as "not done", rather than marking it as "on hold").

Bulk deletion request

  1. Q20893982 (delete | history | links | logs)
  2. Q20893989 (delete | history | links | logs)
  3. Q20893990 (delete | history | links | logs) (all on TAB)

No sitelinks and they only link to each other. As a group they don't look notable to me, but a second opinion would be nice. - Nikki (talk) 20:46, 21 October 2015 (UTC)

Fails WD:N and was probably created as a duplicate of Q21172297 Pichpich (talk) 21:19, 22 October 2015 (UTC)

Actually Ali Hassanein (Q21172297) was the duplicate and has now been merged into Ali Hassanein (Q16122938), so   Not deleted. Mbch331 (talk) 21:39, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
