Hi all, I am a translator administrator EN->FR on Mediawiki with about 70000 changes. As I see MediaWiki pages link to WikiData and follow the same architecture I can contribute to help with markup pages for this one, splitting too big blocks in smaller translation units on one side, protecting (tvar) the reserved word/strings/url in the root page for better security and making Templates translatables on the other side. This will allow me also to get the knowledge of Wikidata concepts and enter this new domain. Hope my proposition will be welcomed. Thanks.

- Support I have been working with Christian on many wikis for many years now. Also met him in RL. A friendly and helpful person which will bring a lot of momentum to translations and translation administration. He has my full support. --[[kgh]] (talk) 19:35, 28 March 2020 (UTC)

Hello, I am Hasley. I would like to request for translation adminship on this project. I am familiar with the Translate extension and have TA access on Meta and MediaWiki.org. Not very active here, but I would like to be able to fix/update some things myself. Thanks, —Hasley 21:26, 20 April 2020 (UTC)

It has alot of thing to do here. I will use this right to mark the templates that should be i18n for translation such as Template:Doc. It is easier than use Template:Int * for each word. And I have an experience with this extension before on Commons, MediaWiki, and Meta as translator. Thank! --Patsagorn Y. (talk) 20:26, 11 July 2020 (UTC)

- Question For that I am better convinced by your request, could you correct your errors on Meta, please? It is a mixture of Lint error and untranslatable elements. On this occasion you could add the translation unit markers between your translate tags. So the community will appreciate the fact that you know the documentation… which is not in Thai. "i18n" is the term rather used for translating Mediawiki software on translatewiki.net, which you are used to. Cordially. —Eihel (talk) 22:55, 11 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Eihel: Thank you for reviewed my edit and apologize for very late reply. I tried to rechecked and fixed in this edit. How does this look to you?
- ps. I think I cannot add the translation markers since I am not translation administrator... Patsagorn Y. (talk) 00:25, 18 July 2020 (UTC)

I’m a translation administrator on Commons for more than five years now. I have special experience in template translation, and this is the field I plan to contribute the most here, but I’m not afraid to touch Wikidata- or Help-namespaces either if needed and I’m confident to know what I do. —Tacsipacsi (talk) 21:15, 14 July 2020 (UTC)

- Question @מגזין יהלום: As a translation administrator, what is your wish, precisely ? —Eihel (talk) 23:47, 14 July 2020 (UTC) @GZWDer: —Eihel (talk) 23:52, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
- The contributor has not given a reply to a question asked 15 days ago. מגזין יהלום writes that he wants to translate the pages, but he doesn't have to be TA for that. The request being too brief, I see myself in the obligation to vote against (momentarily). Sorry. —Eihel (talk) 04:43, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
Well, not bad. I'll be fine. מגזין יהלום (talk) 09:48, 29 July 2020 (UTC) Without it. מגזין יהלום (talk) 09:49, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose. he did a lot of problem in he-wikipedia and I see now that he get ban from de-wiki too. I don't think he need to get any previlage in any wiki project until he change his behavior. - yona b (talk) 06:30, 1 October 2020 (UTC)

Hello everyone, I like to request translation administratorship to work on Special:PageTranslation because there are pages with changes that are not marked for translation. I have just about 500 edits here on wikidata, but used the translation tool for translations on meta and at translatewiki and have about 10,000 edits on german wikipedia where I translate articles from the english wikipedia. I have read the documentation pages at mediawiki. --Ameisenigel (talk) 18:10, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
