Wikidata:Sources
It has been suggested that this page (or another) could provide an "umbrella portal" for work on Wikidata related to sources (in particular WikiCite). Absent a Portal: namespace, this page could serve if developed.
Rationale edit
Wikidata can underpin Wikipedia:Verifiability (Q79951), the Wikipedia initiative across all languages to support encyclopedic material by reliable references. Its particular role is to make the data for citations available.
Significant is the way Wikidata can hold bibliographic information, without regard for its presentation. That opens the way for different standard citation styles, in Wikipedia, to draw on the same underlying data.
