Wikidata is a free knowledge base that you can edit! It can be read and edited by humans and machines alike and you can go to any item page now and add to this ever-growing database!

Tool per le immagini su wikidata

Come promesso dopo l'incontro, ti contatto e ti lascio il messaggio standard che lascio a tutti Ciao e scusa il disturbo. Da circa sette mesi sto segnalando a utenze a vocazione locale media o forte su itwikipedia e altre piattaforme alcuni strumenti per svolgere ulteriori mansioni qui su wikidata. Mi ricordo che hai una predilezione per la zona di Livorno.

Come forse sai wikidata ha elementi a cui, oltre ai link a altre piattaforme wiki, sono associate "proprietà" e una delle meno importanti (per wikidata) è l'immagine. Anche l'immagine andrebbe prima o poi associata all'elemento di wikidata, ma non è una delle principali mancanze e questo viene fatto più lentamente. L'immagine si chiama Property:P18 mentre la cat commons è Property:P373

L'immagine di wikidata però ha il vantaggio di essere "centralizzata", soprattutto se manca e segnala una carenza. Uno strumento basato su wikidata è utilizzabile da ogni utente wiki di altre lingue o progetti anche se solo di passaggio, mentre strumenti come il it: Template:Richiesta immagini in locale sono poco conosciuti fuori da una specifica wiki. Ecco quindi uno dei tantissimi usi pratici di wikidata nella gestione del lavoro-

Ti segnalo in merito questo tool. Se metti per esempio a "article" "it" e "Livorno" avrai l'insieme di items/elementi di wikidata segnalati come mancanti di immagine vicino a Livorno. Il numero di elementi dipende dal raggio (radius) che metti, e di default è 5 km. L'obiettivo è mettere la giusta image, se esiste già, sull'elemento wikidata, e al limite inserire anche la commons category, se esiste anch'essa già. Come puoi vedere dalla tua esperienza, non si tratta a volte di una reale mancanza di immagini nella wiki locale o su commons, in molti casi l'immagine c'è manca solo qui su Wikidata da inserire. Si trovano voci di località, stazioni ferroviarie, chiese, palazzi, piazze, siti archeologici etc (alcune a cui magari tu stesso hai contribuito) e sarebbe utile di rimuovere i "falsi positivi" delle mancanze segnalate in modo da poter capire meglio dove si trovano le mancanze vere. Così se hai tempo tu come altri potrete andare di persona a fotografarle.

Te lo segnalo come con altre utenze "locali" perché limitatamente all'Italia abbiamo poche centinaia di utenti attivi per 8000 comuni, e poco più di una trentina hanno finora ripulito/sincronizzato commons e wikidata riguardo alla propria zona. Ognuno che se ne occupa è quindi benvenuto.

Questo è solo uno dei possibili strumenti, ce ne sono molti altri e spero mano mano di spiegare a chi è interessato come funzionano e come questo alla lunga migliori la possibilità di trovare nuove immagini, oltre a ricevere feedback su come implementarli ancora.

Wikishootme adesso è stato potenziato e la mia speigazione è obsoleta. Comunque sempre per dirti un'idea di wikipedia. questa è com si chiede una query degli elementi senza P18 (immagine) relativi a una certa zona. La linea 6 contiene l'item di riferimento, che puoi cambiare basta che cerchi l'item dell'entità geografica corrispondente dalla barra di ricerca.--Alexmar983 (talk) 16:07, 31 August 2016 (UTC)

Merging

Hallo FabC,
When you merge items, you may want to use the merge.js gadget from help page about merging. It helps with merging, gives the option to always keep the lower number (which is older, so preferable in most cases) and removes the need to file a request on Wikidata:Requests for deletions.

Dupplicate of Bigelow Expandable Activity Module

Hi FabC, in 2018 you created item Q51688858 which is a dupplicate of item Q3450175. Is there any purpose? I suggest to merge them in Q3450175 (the oldest one). Romain2boss (talk) 10:50, 27 February 2019 (UTC)

Call for participation in a task-based online experiment

Dear FabC,

I hope you are doing good,

I am Kholoud, a researcher at King's College London, and I work on a project as part of my PhD research, in which I have developed a personalised recommender system that suggests Wikidata items for the editors based on their past edits. I am collaborating on this project with Elena Simperl and Miaojing Shi.

I am inviting you to a task-based study that will ask you to provide your judgments about the relevance of the items suggested by our system based on your previous edits. Participation is completely voluntary, and your cooperation will enable us to evaluate the accuracy of the recommender system in suggesting relevant items to you. We will analyse the results anonymised, and they will be published to a research venue.

The study will start in late January 2022 or early February 2022, and it should take no more than 30 minutes.

Statement sconsigliati

Ciao! Dove è stato deciso che questi statement vanno marcati come sconsigliati?

Secondo Help:Ranking/it#Classificazione_deprecata, il rank sconsigliato/deprecato "non si deve applicare a informazioni storiche corrette, come ad esempio il precedente valore di una dichiarazione, perché per un certo periodo di tempo hanno rappresentato un'informazione accurata". Di conseguenza, nel caso in questione è sufficiente la presenza del qualificatore end time (P582).

Al contrario, secondo Help:Ranking/it#Classificazione_preferita è consentito classificare il valore attualmente valido come preferito, come ho fatto io qui (nota che ho anche usato un qualificatore per indicare il reason for preferred rank (P7452)).
