works and productions edit

Hello LiaFla, thank you for taking care of ballets. I just noticed that you add instance of (P31) performing arts production (Q43099500) to work items (e.g. Petrushka (Q740162), Swan Lake (Q199786)). Works and productions (e.g the production of a work for a specific season and a specific location) should be kept separate in Wikidata. You can find an example for the relationship between theatrical productions and works here: Der Hauptmann von Köpenick (Q40289399) is a production of The Captain of Köpenick (Q7721293). The same could be done with ballets. I would tend to remove instance of (P31) performing arts production (Q43099500) from the work items again, if there are no objections from your side (e.g. a reason you would need those statements)

There are two projects relevant for working with productions/theatrical works: Wikidata:WikiProject_Performing_arts and Wikidata:WikiProject_Theatre. Maybe this is of interest to you. You can have a look at the data model proposed there and maybe you have some ideas how to improve it.

Thank you for your contributions! - Valentina.Anitnelav (talk) 10:52, 24 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Valentina.Anitnelav: thank you! I removed it from the work items. - LiaFla 17:02, 12 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Stadtarchiv XXX in French? edit

Hi,

I just put the french label on Zurich City Archives (Q27490306) and then notice that several other Archives of city in Switzerland where you put a French label in German. Was it on purpose or can I put the French label in French?

Cheers, VIGNERON (talk) 14:08, 12 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

@VIGNERON: Sorry! Sure, you can put a French label if you know it. Thank you! - LiaFla 18:23, 14 june 2019 (UTC)
Ok, as most institution in Switzerland are trilingual, I'll search fro the French name and put it. Cheers, VIGNERON (talk) 22:15, 15 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Schweizerisches Literaturarchiv edit

Hello LiaFla,

thank you very much for your entries regarding the Swiss Literary Archives Swiss Literary Archives (Q675617). I'm quite new in this whole Wikidata-World and did some changes on the entry regarding the Swiss Literary Archives (Q675617) as an exercise. I hope that you are ok with them. It seems that the Webpage of the VSA is not up date regarding the contact dates of the Swiss Literay Archives. Kind regards User:Piolzer

@Piolzer: Hi, thanks for your changes! best regards - LiaFla 20:11, 15 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

New OpenRefine reconciliation service edit

Hi!

Thank you for wearing the {{User loves OpenRefine}} userbox on your user page!

Because the existing Wikidata reconciliation service has had severe performance issues recently, I have created a new one which should be faster and more robust. You can add it to OpenRefine in the reconciliation dialog with the following URL: https://wikidata.reconci.link/en/api (or by replacing en by any other language code).

If you have any issues with this new service, let me know.

Happy reconciling! − Pintoch (talk)

@Pintoch: Hi, thank you for this information! best regards - LiaFla 20:15, 15 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

New member on WikiProject IFRC edit

Hi LiaFla! Your work on https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:WikiProject_IFRC is impressive! You single handedly did a huge task all these years! Wow! Very inspiring!

Well, I'm here to help you on what I could do in the name of others! At this moment, I'm one of co-founders of HXL-CPLP (Grupo de Usuários do Padrão HXL da Comunidade dos Países de Língua Portuguesa; HXL means The Humanitarian Exchange Language) and as both HXL-CPLP and EticaAI, we're very active on the task related to improve international data exchange on humanitarian sector.

You can find more about us on GitHub (my username there is fititnt and both HXL-CPLP but mostly EticaAI/multilingual-lexicography have the type of data integration we're interested in doing with Wikidata! Note: do exist a place called "Humanitarian Data Exchange" maintained by OCHA, but they do not make near any use of Wikidata. We're doing the bureaucracy to allow some workflow on this and break the glass ceiling. And I say this because the de facto international humanitarian sector is too biased either to English or French, so the problem is not just allow stricter terminology translations Portuguese speakers.

Anyway, if you want, can try contact me also by any other social media to talk more on how our groups could help works such as the WikiProject IFRC!!!

Musical instruments edit

Hello, LiaFla. You've added a bunch of items about musical instruments such as Double Seconds (Q94958396), Four cello (Q94958749), Double Tenor (Q94958854), Hand drum (Hang) (Q94958921)... What are they? Archaelogical artifacts or types of instruments? Infovarius (talk) 07:58, 27 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
