Hello, I'm Matěj Suchánek. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Q2013 because it didn't appear constructive. Feel free to use the sandbox for test edits. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! --Matěj Suchánek (talk) 15:25, 24 January 2015 (UTC) Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikidata, as you did at Q14565196, you may be blocked from editing. --Matěj Suchánek (talk) 19:01, 29 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Excuse me but "vandalize" is "Vandalism is a deliberate attempt". It is not true that I vandalise. Why do you think I added +- 36

new contributions on Wikidata. I maded a mistake. Excuse me for this mistake and thank you for your help.CordialementMortier.Daniel (talk) 08:40, 1 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello! It looks like you create Wikidata items corresponding to articles you created on the French Wikipedia. This is good, but many of them seem to be duplicates of existing items; please check for existing Wikidata items referring to the same things, as another user or bot may have created one. On the left site of an article on the French Wikipedia, look for "Élément Wikidata" to see if there's a link to an existing item. You can add French descriptions or other information to these existing items. If you do not find an item for an article and you create a new one, please link it to the corresponding Wikipedia article by adding to the "Wikipedia" section at the bottom. This will help other users find different language versions of articles, and it will help to prevent the creation of duplicate items. Thank you! --Joel7687 (talk) 16:50, 4 May 2017 (UTC) Hello! I don't understand you when you says that many of them seem to be duplicates of existing items. It is others itmes in other language: Juliette Hassine didn't exist before I created the items . Cordialement Mortier.Daniel (talk) 17:47, 4 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

"It is others itmes in other language" - I'm not sure I understand; one item in Wikidata should include information about the subject in any language. With Juliette Hassine, it does look like you created the first item, and somebody else created another one a few hours later. This could have been avoided if you had linked to your French article. Actually, there was an even older item, because the Hebrew Wikipedia had an article already: https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q6757779&direction=prev&oldid=480972210 In any case, all of the items have now been merged. Let me know if you want to discuss a simpler example of avoiding duplicate items, since that one was complicated. Thanks! --Joel7687 (talk) 18:09, 4 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hassine

edit

Its perfect. I created an article Juliette Hassine in French on wikipédia and they is also an article in Hebrew. Wat's de problem : I created an Item in French on Wikidata. I dont't understand whats the problem.Cordialement Mortier.Daniel (talk) 17:14, 7 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

The problem is that Wikidata should have one item for Juliette Hassine, connected to all of the Wikipedia articles about her, containing descriptions in all of the different languages. Instead, a total of three were created, and had to be merged together. Looking at your edit history, you have created a large number of new items, generally containing only a French label and description, instead of adding to those existing items. For a simpler and more recent example, you created Russian religious philosophy (Q29865883) instead of just adding that description to the pre-existing item Russian religious philosophy (Q18399398). I hope that is clearer. Thanks, Joel7687 (talk) 22:05, 8 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
Excuse me Joel, but now it is clearer. Thank you for this explainings. But they are many languages on Wikipédia. The others peoples who like create an item may created it. You see that my english is very bad. I am only able to understand dutch and russian. Who is it possible for me create others items in others languages. Hassine write in french! Cordialement Mortier.Daniel (talk) 06:39, 9 May 2017 (UTC) P.S. I think the people who created the article in hebrew can also create an item on Wikidata in hebrew.Mortier.Daniel (talk) 06:44, 9 May 2017 (UTC) I think that if i will create an article in english I can and I should create an item in english.Mortier.Daniel (talk) 06:45, 9 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Titles and languages

edit

People who are better in English and other languages can write the labels and descriptions in those languages. Just try to find existing items before creating new ones, and when you create a new article in the French Wikipedia, link to that article from the Wikidata item. Thanks, Joel7687 (talk) 17:32, 9 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

I create this afternoon an item in french for Philosophie de Dostoïevski and an other in english for Philosophy of Dostoïevsky. But the two items aren't at the same place. What can I do ? When I create a new article from the russian Wikipedia in french, often ther are not item in english. OK but if I want fasten the 2 articles I think it is not possible. Excuse me for all this troubles and thank you for your help. Cordialement Mortier.Daniel (talk) 19:25, 9 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
If there is already an article in the Russian Wikipedia, then there is probably already a Wikidata item; if this is the case, then you can just add information to that item. If this is the case, then on the left side of the Russian Wikipedia page, you should see a section "в других проектах" with an item "Викиданные". Go to that item when it is available, and add information to that instead of creating a new one. Thanks, Joel7687 (talk) 19:58, 9 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
Thanks!

Le lac. La Rus'

edit

You created Lake. Russia (Q29949960), but it looks like there was already an item for that, Lake. Russia (Q4332076). If you are aware of a Russian Wikipedia article at the time you write a French one, there will probably be a Wikidata item already, linked from "в других проектах - Викиданные" (other projects - Wikidata) and/or "на других языках - Править ссылки" (other languages - add/edit links). Let me know if there is something you do not understand. Thanks, Joel7687 (talk) 00:33, 16 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

When I created Le lac. La Rus' on Wikipédia, I look before at Wikidata and I see that there was nothing in french. I created Le lac. La Rus' on Wikidata and Wikipedia. But later I think that it was better write : Le Lac. La Rus' with a majuscule at the "lac"= "Lac". I asked at an administator of Wikipédia and on change the name on Wikipédia. Now it is Le Lac. La Rus'. Excuse me for this mistake. But what it is posible to do now ?Thanks.Mortier.Daniel (talk) 10:17, 16 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
Duplicate items in Wikidata can be merged; just try not to create more of them. Thanks, Joel7687 (talk) 00:48, 17 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
I understand. On wikidata the name for Sloboda d'Andropov was Andropov Kremlin . Escuse me I was mistaken and I thought it was necessary to create a new item. After I understood it was possible to change the item who existed. Now I know. Excuse me for this mistaken and your trouble. Merci Mortier.Daniel (talk) 07:26, 17 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

(Almost) “empty” items created by you

edit

Hey Mortier.Daniel, you create a lot of new items, but many of them do not contain anything else than a French label and description. My impression is that they could be valuable for something, but this is very difficult to decide based on what I see. In context of out notability criteria, your items are permanently threatened of being deleted in that shape. To save them, you have several options:

  1. Add a Wikipedia sitelink
  2. Add statements, including instance of (P31) or subclass of (P279), and external identifiers
  3. Use the item as value in another item

I’m willing to give advice here on your talk page, if you need that. Please use {{Ping}} in that case. Thanks and regards, MisterSynergy (talk) 20:16, 29 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Typographie du français

edit

Bonjour,

Cdlt, VIGNERON (talk) 12:49, 31 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
