adding IMDb edit

Hello, please check that an query doesn't have the imdb-property before adding the same like here https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q6235082&diff=54554467&oldid=54554456 --CENNOXX (talk) 00:03, 12 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for telling me. I always try to be careful but sometimes there are just so many claims on the page that I don't notice the IMDb one. I think this should be handled at the software level, i.e. adding the same ID twice twice should throw an error. I will file a bug, meanwhile I will pay more attention. Property creator edit

Hi Mushroom! I saw that you discuss a lot of properties and I think you could request property creator right if you would like to: Wikidata:Requests_for_permissions/Other_rights#Property_creator. --Tobias1984 (talk) 09:03, 13 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, I'm thinking about it. Mushroom (talk) 09:08, 14 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

MART edit

Thanks for [1], it's the first place where I got the news. :) --Nemo 08:38, 24 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Nemo, I have already started working at Mart. I am now in the process of creating project pages on the Italian Wikipedia and English Wikipedia to describe what we plan to do. Mushroom (talk) 10:19, 26 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Adminship edit

Dear Mushroom,

you are doing a great job here on Wikidata. Maybe you should request an adminship. Wikidata needs reliable people to fulfill this function and help the community at large. I would be happy to nominate you. Let me know. - Sincerely, Taketa (talk) 19:13, 12 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Dear @Taketa: thank you! Wikidata has been my main Wikimedia project for a while now. It would be an honor if you nominated me for adminship. Mushroom (talk) 12:40, 13 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Hi Mushroom, nice that you want to help. I have nominated you at Wikidata:Requests for permissions/Administrator/Mushroom. Please post there whether you accept the nomination (example). -- Sincerely, Taketa (talk) 20:10, 14 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Congratulations, Dear Administrator! edit

English | español | français | Nederlands | русский | +/−

An offering for our new administrator from your comrades... (our gift is better than the one at Commons or Meta)

You have your gun; now here's your badge: {{User admin}}/{{#babel:admin}} and {{Admin topicon}}. Enjoy!

Mushroom, congratulations! You now have the rights of administrator on Wikidata. Please take a moment to read the Wikidata:Administrators page and watchlist related pages (in particular Wikidata:Project chat, Wikidata:Requests for comment, and Wikidata:Administrators' noticeboard), before launching yourself into page deletions, page protections, account blockings, or modifications of protected pages.

Please feel free to join us on IRC: #wikidata-admin @ irc.freenode.net. If you need access, you can flag someone down at @ irc.freenode.net. You may find Wikidata:Guide to Adminship to be useful reading. You may also want to consider adding yourself to meta:Template:Wikidata/Ambassadors, and to any similar page on your home wiki if one exists. (Check Wikipedia:Wikidata/Wikidatans (Q14964498).)

Please also add/update the languages you speak to your listing at Wikidata:List of administrators. You may also like to add your username to this list if you would not like that items you delete at RfD get marked as deleted automatically. Again, welcome to the admin corps!

Korean singer "also known as" edit

Hello. I've been doing some editing of Korean singer and group items, mostly adding descriptions where there are none, and some things like that. I'd also been removing what I thought were incorrectly-imported values from the "also known as" fields. But now I see you manually added some of those, such as non-English names (such as those in Korean and Chinese scripts), as well as alternate romanizations (there can sometimes be dozens of them for a single person's name). Did I screw up? The names in Korean script are always in the Korean name fields, and I assume the same is true for Chinese. And we don't usually list alternate romanizations on Korean-person Wikipedia articles unless it's an extremely common or very confusing situation. Do you want me to undo the removals I did, and if so, could you provide me some guidance on where to draw the line on how many and what kind of alternate romanizations belong on a Korean person's "also known as" field? Thanks for your time, and sorry for any difficulties. Shinyang-i (talk) 04:09, 20 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Top 10 primary sources tool users edit

Ciao @Mushroom,

The primary sources tool status page says that you are the third most active user of the tool, congratulations! If you have not tried it yet, I would like to invite you to activate and play with the FBK-strephit-soccer dataset: it is a small demo dataset to support the StrepHit IEG proposal. Your help is crucial, since the reference URLs come from Italian sources. I would really appreciate if you could endorse, join (blue buttons), or comment the idea on the proposal page.

Looking forward to your feedback.
Cheers,

Possible problem with the filter 17 edit

Hi, I'm contacting you because you are the last one who edited the abuse filter 17. I've been checking the filter 17 and I think that the format regex it is checking doesn't match for the format of the events (ev) as it appears in the discussion page of IMDb ID (P345). Also, if the only accepted formats are the ones appearing in the discussion page, it wouldn't be better to prevent the addition of incorrect formatted data and displaying a message telling the user why the input isn't accepted? It would help the users learn how to add the information properly. Thanks. -- Agabi10 (talk) 02:00, 1 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
