Bureaucrats' noticeboard
This is a noticeboard for all matters requiring bureaucrats' attention. For privacy-related issues send an email to the bureaucrats' mailing list, please.

This is not the appropriate place to request help with editing or to request help from administrators.

Do we really need this noticeboard anymore?Edit

  1. Renaming of usernames are nowadays Stewards and/or Global Renamers' work (-> m:SRUC)
  2. Requests for bot status are always handled at Wikidata:Requests for permissions/Bot
  3. For granting new administrators after elections, how can't this be done by just pings, pings, pings...?

As far as I am concerned we can shut it down (merge into Administrators' noticeboard)--Ymblanter (talk) 19:06, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
Agree. Lymantria (talk) 20:36, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
  •   Support. Seems this is no longer useful. Esteban16 (talk) 21:53, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
  •   Support. Good idea. Regards, ZI Jony (Talk) 10:24, 5 April 2019 (UTC)
I see no need for removing this venue. Relying only on pings is certainly a bad idea, since not everyone has enabled them necessarily, and AN is crowded enough so that it is probably an even less efficient way to get attention than a ping/direct talk page message. On top, WD:RENAME redirects here and this is the venue where users find a convenient link to request a user rename (see the info box at the top of this page). Recently, we even used this noticeboard during the transition period of the interface administrator flag introduction, not impossible that other such uses may arise in the future. What is the motivation behind this request, has the very existence of this page caused any trouble? --Vogone (talk) 17:01, 5 April 2019 (UTC)
@Vogone: you’ve good point and this page not trouble, but we talking about merge into AN not a redirect. Remane redirects will be appear also AN top. Regarding interface administrator flag users may apply at Wikidata:Requests for permissions/Interface administrator. Regards, ZI Jony (Talk) 05:41, 6 April 2019 (UTC)
  •   Support - There is no need anymore for a separate bureaucrats' noticeboard. Exceptions, like interface administrator, should not decide the rule. Let's try without this page and see how it goes. Sincerely, Taketa (talk) 03:25, 3 May 2019 (UTC)
  •   Oppose per Vogone. There's nothing to be gained by removing this page, and an admin returning to activity after a voluntary desysop would want to use this page. AN should stay separte.--Jasper Deng (talk) 22:29, 7 May 2019 (UTC)

Lymantria (talk) 14:26, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
Merci ! --Benjamenta (talk) 15:43, 5 June 2019 (UTC)

Flooder requestEdit

Eihel (talkcontribsnew itemsSULBlock logUser rights logUser rights)
Hello @Vogone, Ymblanter, Lymantria:  ,
I'm experiencing slowdowns when I'm dealing with vandalism or when I'm creating properties (repetition in the chain of identical steps). In these 2 areas, I have a long experience that does not require a passage in the RC. In the coming weeks, I will be building properties alongside other Wikimedia activities. I was wondering if it was possible to have 3 months with the flag of flooder, please? Wikipedially. --Eihel (talk) 10:57, 12 June 2019 (UTC)

Done for 3 months. If you realize at some point that you do not need the flag anymore, please remove it yourdelf. If you need it beyond three months, please ping me after the expiration.--Ymblanter (talk) 11:05, 12 June 2019 (UTC)
Or ping me ;) Lymantria (talk) 13:16, 12 June 2019 (UTC)
