•  Oppose The IDs are the same as Steam application ID (P1733), and Proton is already listed as a third-party formatter URL for Steam application ID. Lewis Hulbert (talk) 23:48, 5 July 2020 (UTC)
•  Comment I used to be of the same opinion as Lewis Hulbert ; however since I have come to understand that ProtonDB is effectively a subset of SteamDB: all items with an entry in ProtonDB will have an entry in SteamDB ; however the reverse is not true − hence ProtonDB claiming it has "only" 14,227 entries ; while SteamDB has over 147,000 entries.

@Jean-Frédéric: I had not thought about this, thanks for bringing it to my attention, if it were to only have a subset of Steam games that have received a rating I would be willing to support, but storing an exact mirror of the Steam application IDs where 100,000 records contain no additional data seems a waste of time. I've tried looking for some obscure games on the Steam marketplace and checking whether they have a ProtonDB entry and they all have so far, although most have had no reports. The homepage's terminology of "14,227 games reported" makes me think that they have the full Steam data incorporated into their database and the figure is only how many have received ratings by their users. PCGamingWiki automatically adds the ProtonDB link to the infobox whenever a Steam ID is present.[1]. It seems a little bit of a shame to not be able to link to useful information on ProtonDB, I wonder if the creation of a generic property like "compatibility rating" (which we could also use for Wine Application Database (Q63196900)) and storing the values on Wikidata? •  Comment The Steam and ProtonDB lingo is "App", not game − as there are other types of apps in Steam − I assume the same is true for ProtonDB. I would suggest calling this property 'ProtonDB app ID'. Jean-Fred (talk) 13:09, 6 July 2020 (UTC)
