We talked about Joconde work ID (P347) last night. Looks like some existing items need to be tagged and that's only the list for the Louvre.
Also Napoleon Crossing the Alps (Q59201) is a nice one to untangle. That's one item about 5 different paintings! Multichill (talk) 17:35, 19 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Cycle d'Ender edit

--Harmonia Amanda (talk) 16:21, 8 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Tate edit

Hi Jean-Frédéric, before importing more Tate (Q430682) paintings, a bit of clean up is needed. For some paintings the collection (P195) is set to Tate Britain (Q195436), Tate Modern (Q193375) or one of the other Tates. See for example this list. This needs to be fixed, otherwise you end up with a bunch of duplicates. What I did: Copy collection to location, update collection to Tate, update collection qualifier of the inventory number to Tate. Tate Modern is done, haven't checked the others yet. Multichill (talk) 20:32, 12 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Leading zero? edit

Hello Jean-Frédéric, Can you explain why this edit was made? Did I overlook cases where the Tate-identifeir had an initial 0? Lymantria (talk) 07:50, 16 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hello Lymantria,
Thanks for your message − and apologies I did not make use of the edit summary to explain why I was doing this :)
I encountered Edwin Austin Abbey (Q259538) which has an ID of 0. That special case does not warrant my edit though − I don’t believe there are any identifiers with leading zeroes ; with my edit 0123 would be valid although it should not. I reverted myself on that one.
My regex-fu can be a bit rusty, but I do not see any better than something like /[0|[1-9]\d*]/ ? Looks convoluted...
Thanks for the catch :) Jean-Fred (talk) 14:07, 16 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
Yes, that would be convoluted. Luckily the constraint template accepts exceptions. :) Lymantria (talk) 14:28, 16 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Newer PCGamingWiki dataset on Mix'n'match edit

I'm not sure how much you use the PCGW dataset on Mix'n'Match, but I figured I should let you know I've uploaded a better version with corrected URLs (the only exception is game titles with slashes in them are still broken, unfortunately, but I think that's a mix'n'match problem): https://tools.wmflabs.org/mix-n-match/#/catalog/2196

Unfortunately I didn't think about changing all the descriptions for items to "video game" so that item creation wouldn't result in an item with a description of "n/a", but I guess it's too late to fix that now.

Best, Nicereddy (talk)

Thanks for letting me know! I marked the old catalogue as “Inactive” (one needs Catalog Editor rights on Mix’n’match to do it). Regarding the description: too bad, but that can be fixed at the next update ;-).
Funny that the auto-match again did not do a good job − it should for example have matched this to Agricultural Simulator 2012 (Q11849886)… I’ll poke Magnus about it :)
Jean-Fred (talk) 21:35, 7 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
Actually the auto-match acted really bizarrely. It ended up with about 1500 matches, but 700 or so of them weren't instances of video games, so I had to spend a while going through and removing the bad matches.
Did the auto-match work on the original import? I never saw it if it did. Nicereddy (talk)
Ah I see. So, there were no auto-matches at all on the original import, which I feel it definitely should have − there were plenty of exact matches to make. It’s 'good' that it worked this time but very strange it only did crappy matches. Over 40 catalogues imported and I only had good experience with the auto-match. The only exception was cpcrulez but I thought the bad matches were because I had not specified a default type (which you did).
Strange strange strange :)

Reports/Platform/Disk Operating System vs. Reports/Platform/DOS edit

Aren't these platforms pretty much the same? Does it make any sense to have two of these lists? Trade (talk) 23:05, 20 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

They are indeed ; I had not noticed the latter, as I was creating missing ones from Wikidata:WikiProject Video games/Statistics/Platform (which makes a link based on the English label − not very robust method but should do for now). One can be redirected to the other I’d say :)
By the way, thanks for creating many of these per-platform lists!

Redirections edit

Salut,

a+ FR (talk) 19:38, 14 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Salut,
En pratique, si tu essayes de lier fr:Gangstar Rio: City of Saints sur Gangstar Rio: City of Saints (Q3285262), tu te fais bouler avec un “Site link frwiki:Gangstar is already used by item Gangstar (Q3758110)
Jean-Fred (talk) 22:28, 14 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
Ok merci !
FR (talk) 10:09, 15 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

BTVA video games ID edit

Hello Jean! In these days, You may have noticed that I am replenishing with the help of mix'n'match the VGMdb product ID property. property stat edit

Hi Jean-Frédéric,

Nice tool. Thanks for building it.

Here, I tried to add a "higher grouping" by continent. It works for most of it. Somehow the numbers for the US get doubled (two continents, even if only one is shown). Percentages dropped. Maybe the query can use a "DISTINCT" in count. Couldn't figure out why Netherlands appears with Africa and Tunisia without any continent. The text "(used at least 10 times per grouping)" above the columns is that from an earlier version? --- Jura 23:01, 20 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Another thing: at US, I tried to group by state, but that would require a more complex first level grouping (I tried "P131/wdt:P131*/wdt:P5086"). --- Jura 09:36, 21 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi!
Glad you like it − thanks for using it :)
  • Good catch with the double-counting − filed myself phab:T224090, will add a DISTINCT to the query.
  • I intended integraality to have a very simple interface (ie, simple parameters) so that folks with little SPARQL-fu could use it ; but by doing so, I kind-of arbitrarily restricted the kind-of grouping possible. I might relax that constraint, by providing an alternative grouping_sparql.
Jean-Fred (talk) 08:56, 22 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
Fixed the double-count by adding a DISTINCT − thanks for the tip :) Jean-Fred (talk) 13:37, 22 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. It improved the numbers here too. BTW, I'd favor inputing also the variables ?entity and ?grouping , but I understand your general objective. I tried to find a way to do subnational groupings. It worked for US/IN/AU, but it tends to time-out if there is much data involved (IT, FR). Subnationals groups are a bit tricky, as it requires using an additional time "*" which generally leads to time-outs. While I can generally get queries to work, I'm not sure what optimizations to suggest. Maybe the tool could first do a mere count and then try to work out the groups. Specialists at Request_a_query might have more suggestions. --- Jura 14:31, 22 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
I filed phab:T224229 to discuss/design the grouping interface. Jean-Fred (talk) 15:00, 23 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Property dashboard edit

Tu me confirmes ? Merci par avance. Ayack (talk) 16:17, 22 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Salut,

Prop dashboard edit

Very very nice!!! Thank you!

I created a dashboard for some maps I am working on:

User:Jheald/Blaeu

but I am a bit surprised that, although 6 and 12 maps register in the totals line for the depicts (P180) and main subject (P921) columns, there are no counts in the corresponding column entries for the specific volumes (all should be in Vol 3 Germany and Vol 5 England).

Is there something I have missed?

Thanks again, Jheald (talk) 15:41, 24 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Just updated the page. Seemingly, numbers may appear in these columns once they get above a particular threshold. But when there are only 6 or 7 instances in a box, that gets reported as zero. If a column is present, it would be nice to have the actual numbers, with no thresholding. Jheald (talk) 10:05, 29 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
User:Jura1 seems to have fixed the page with this diff -- apparently need to set both grouping_threshold and property_threshold to zero to work around this.
One other thing that would be nice would be to be able to define an initial sort ordering -- here the value of volume (P478), cast to a xsd:integer would be nice. Jheald (talk) 11:57, 29 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Now giving the error <class 'OSError'> [Errno 116] Stale file handle. Jheald (talk) 10:19, 30 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Fairly sure that last one is Toolforge related − tracking at phab:T224651. Not sure what I can do about it at the moment though :-/ Jean-Fred (talk) 11:04, 30 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Steam Greenlight (Q61905393) edit

Valve Corporation (Q193559) discontinued Steam Greenlight (Q61905393) many months ago and i'm worried that they might soon take the website down. Tv Tropes identifier edit

Hey. I've removed all three constraint that you added to this property because I've been putting it on pages for a few days and I have violated all three. Tvtropes often merges or split things in far less (or far more) specific ways than Wikipedia, so neither distinct-values constraint (Q21502410) nor single-value constraint (Q19474404) are usable, and a subject type constraint (Q21503250) in particular would need to be so broad as to be pointless. Tvtropes may be best known for its coverage of fandom writ large, but it has thousands of pages about people, brands, companies etc. No notability requirements mean almost anything that's on wikipedia could theoretically be on Tvtropes. Game Soundtracks and Wikidata edit

Hey,

Do you happen to know if soundtracks are valid Wikidata items? This collection contains a lot of them https://tools.wmflabs.org/mix-n-match/#/catalog/2522. Teiron (talk) 17:01, 29 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hey @Teiron:,
Yes, it’s definitely a thing − see this SPARQL query:
SELECT ?item ?itemLabel ?soundtrack_release ?soundtrack_releaseLabel ?natureLabel WHERE {
  SERVICE wikibase:label { bd:serviceParam wikibase:language "[AUTO_LANGUAGE],en". }
  ?item wdt:P31 wd:Q7889.
  ?item wdt:P406 ?soundtrack_release.
  ?soundtrack_release wdt:P31 ?nature
}
Try it!
Although, not too sure what is the correct way of modeling them. MusicBrainz makes the difference between the soundtrack (eg MG5 soundtrack) and the soundtrack albums (eg MGS OST. Movies also seem to be a bit of a mess. I asked the question on the Wikidata Telegram group, let’s see if I can get more information :)

Integraality edit

Bonjour Jean-Fred,

Houlà, on va essayer ^_^'
Ça a l’air de marcher avec |selector_sparql=wdt:P31 wd:Q3331189. ?sitelink schema:about ?entity; schema:isPartOf <https://fr.wikisource.org/>

Integraality on other wikis edit

Hi Jean-Fred, I've been playing around with the Integraality dashboards and I think it would be really cool to be able to embed them in other wikis, not just Wikidata (just like Listeriabot works anywhere). Is it just about importing the templates, or will the bot only work on Wikidata? --Alicia Fagerving (WMSE) (talk) 13:08, 27 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi @Alicia Fagerving (WMSE):, I must say, I had not thought about that at all. I don’t see any reason not to support it. Copying the templates would be necessary, but not sufficient, there would be a few code changes to do. I filed phab:T243780 to analyse it and I think it would be fairly straightforward. external-id, or not… THE DIFF edit

Re-bonsoir,

A+ —Eihel (talk) 10:42, 4 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Salut.
Jean-Fred (talk) 08:57, 4 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
Query simplification edit

Hi Jean-Frédéric,

At [3], "all items without the properties set" gives

SELECT DISTINCT ?entity ?entityLabel
WHERE
{
  ?entity wdt:P31 wd:Q41960 .
  ?entity wdt:P551 wd:Q3115846 .
  MINUS {    {?entity a wdno:P21 .} UNION   {?entity wdt:P21 ?prop .}  }
  SERVICE wikibase:label { bd:serviceParam wikibase:language "[AUTO_LANGUAGE],en" }
}
Try it!

maybe it could be simplified to

SELECT DISTINCT ?entity ?entityLabel
WHERE
{
    ?entity wdt:P31 wd:Q41960 .
    ?entity wdt:P551 wd:Q3115846 .
    MINUS {  ?entity p:P21 [] }
    SERVICE wikibase:label { bd:serviceParam wikibase:language "[AUTO_LANGUAGE],en". }
}
Try it!

BTW, this one keeps failing these days. --- Jura 22:38, 6 February 2020 (UTC) Reply

Oh .. it ended up working . BTW InteGraality (Q84572489). --- Jura 22:09, 7 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Maybe two "display on map"-buttons could be interesting. It would just need:

at the appropriate places and embed.html in the URL. Love the tool! --- Jura 19:20, 9 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Browser Games edit

I've refrained from creating items about browser games as there is a huge variety regarding modeling making the whole thing a giant mess. Many of the items use instance of (P31) video game (Q7889) while others use browser game (Q848991). Meanwhile some of the items use platform (P400) web browser (Q6368) when others use HTML5 (Q2053) or personal computer (Q16338).

I think it would help greatly if we could all agree on model item (P5869). --Trade (talk) 21:30, 8 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Dashboard: sorting of higher_grouping column edit

Hi Jean-Frédéric. The table includes <td data-sort-value="Q1234"> which leads sorting do be done by QID (data-sort-value) rather than the label. Is there a way to change this? --- Jura 01:07, 14 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hmmm… Technically, the application does not know about any labels (actually, it does look up the grouping label for the grouping link, but that’s a special case. It could be done, might be slightly slower as I’d need to query the label of each grouping/higher-grouping − but that could be done in the SPARQL… I will think about this in phab:T245752. Jean-Fred (talk) 16:41, 20 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
I think it would be sufficient to not include "data-sort-value", then js will sort by label. For the first grouping column, this isn't present and it works. --- Jura 16:56, 20 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Completeness flag(s)? edit

For [4], it could be interesting to set a number or percentage of items for which the columns are complete.

Also, some columns can reach completeness, others are mainly there for monitoring. --- Jura 03:36, 18 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

I split that list into several subpages. When doing that, I tried to define the "link=" parameter. On {{Wikidata list}} this helps "manual" update link to keep working. However, here it breaks the bot and I'm not sure if the queries in the cell take it into account. --- Jura 16:27, 20 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Skip throttle edit

When reading for Template:Integraality_cell, I don't think there is much use of checking for lag. Can you skip that? --- Jura 13:42, 21 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Maybe you could just submit a bot request for User:InteGraalityBot and described how it will operate/handle it going forward. --- Jura 13:57, 21 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
There seem to be three separate cases: (1) cell: which should be very quick read-only (2) manual update: read, several queries, an update (should be fairly quick, but not overload query server; instead of edit lag, query server load seems important), (3) the weekly update (which can be very slow, if it's a cron job, I'd place it in a low traffic window at night US time). --- Jura 14:03, 21 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

GRY-Online company ID (P7997) edit

Hi, In the property GRY-Online company ID (P7997), the English label is given as 'Gry Online company ID'. But in the examples given there are peoples also. So do the property need a name change or not.? Regards.-❙❚❚❙❙ JinOy ❚❙❚❙❙ 10:45, 20 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi! Thank you for creating this property :)
It’s more bad design on the part of the database: their data model has two entity types − 'games' and 'companies', and assume that games are developed and published by companies. There is the odd game however which is developed by a single person. This is quite endemic to many games databases, other examples include OGDB company ID (P7570) or Gamekult company ID (P7911). That’s why the type constraint also accepts video game developer (Q58287519).
So I can see two solutions: following the database naming scheme and keeping company, or replacing with the more explicit “Gry Online developer/publisher ID”. So far, I just kept whichever name the database was using, but I’m happy to go either way. :-)
Jean-Fred (talk) 14:19, 20 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the clarification. When I have checked both the properties OGDB company ID (P7570) and Gamekult company ID (P7911) have type contains violations. It has showed type contains violations for Terry Cavanagh (Q11709677) since only organization (Q43229) alone was added when i created the property. So that's why I changed it after that. Go ahead if you need any changes to it. Regards :) -❙❚❚❙❙ JinOy ❚❙❚❙❙ 14:54, 20 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, I have been busy adding a bunch of catalogues to Mix’n’match (though I’m not the only one!).
Re: incorrect match: yes, please use “Remove” in Mix’n’match and then map it to the correct item − that ensures the error does not come back in future syncs between Wikidata and Mix’n’match. There are a bunch of mismatches listed at User:Magnus Manske/Mix'n'match report/791.

Dashboard selector_sparql edit

To solve the problem outlined at Wikidata:Request_a_query#Convulted_syntax_(property_dashboard), creating an additional field that would be used if present (e.g. "selector_with_sparql") that would allow the input of:

?entity wdt:P31 wd:Q1234.

or

{ SELECT DISTINCT ?entity { ?entity ^ wdt:P2860/wdt:P1433 wd:Q665807 } }

Both would be wrapped into:

SELECT ?entity { <insert here> }

contrary to "selector_sparql" that uses:

SELECT ?entity { ?entity <insert here> }

What do you think? Would they work with the other queries as well? --- Jura 07:33, 21 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

This is a bit similar to phab:T224229. It’s probably doable, but I’m not sure of how much work it would be (as the selector sparql is used in several queries). Won’t have time to work on that any time soon ; but could you please file a Phabricator task describing the usecase? It will be very helpful down the line. Thanks! Property dashboard query edit

Bonjour Jean-Frédéric, I asked for some help on creating a query that uses UNION to work with the Property dashboard. The proposed solution from Jura doesn't seem to work either. Is this something the dashboard can do? Merci for any help! --Nashona (talk) 16:58, 24 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi @Nashona:, thanks for your message!
The selector_sparql parameter does not work that way − see the documentation at {{Property dashboard}}. For the sake of simplicity, it expects a SPARQL fragment − in the most basic form something like wdt:P31 wd:Q7889 and builds a SPARQL query around it (the code).
The {{Property dashboard}} template generates links to SPARQL queries, which are the same that some of the ones integraality will use. If you follow these links, you will see how the final queries look like. If one does not work, then integraality will not either.
You are not the first person that needs more complex querying, I have been thinking about an 'expert mode' where users could just pass their SPARQL but it’s not easy and needs careful planning.
It is often possible to use clever SPARQL constructs to trick the selector_sparql to do what you want. I have tried somethink in Special:Diff/1389102965 which I think should work.
However it seems that there are issues loading the configuration − I think because of the curly braces. I filed this as phab:T278387 and will try to look into this later.
Jean-Fred (talk) 20:49, 24 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! I'll take a look at it. Something else is happening to previously created dashboards that use wdt:P31/wdt:P279* I've filed it as phab:T278156. It times out. Nashona (talk) 17:53, 26 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Bien à toi,
Edelseider (talk) 08:22, 29 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Sur ma page utilisateur est en ce moment indiquée “This user is on Wikislow for the foreseeable future and will only check and edit sporadically (if at all).”.

;) Edelseider (talk) 11:01, 29 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Call for participation in the interview study with Wikidata editors edit

Dear Jean-Frédéric,

I hope you are doing good,

I am Kholoud, a researcher at the King’s College London, and I work on a project as part of my PhD research that develops a personalized recommendation system to suggest Wikidata items for the editors based on their interests and preferences. I am collaborating on this project with Elena Simperl and Miaojing Shi.

I would love to talk with you to know about your current ways to choose the items you work on in Wikidata and understand the factors that might influence such a decision. Your cooperation will give us valuable insights into building a recommender system that can help improve your editing experience.

Participation is completely voluntary. You have the option to withdraw at any time. Your data will be processed under the terms of UK data protection law (including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018). The information and data that you provide will remain confidential; it will only be stored on the password-protected computer of the researchers. We will use the results anonymized (?) to provide insights into the practices of the editors in item selection processes for editing and publish the results of the study to a research venue. If you decide to take part, we will ask you to sign a consent form, and you will be given a copy of this consent form to keep.

If you’re interested in participating and have 15-20 minutes to chat (I promise to keep the time!), please either contact me on kholoudsaa@gmail.com or use this form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdmmFHaiB20nK14wrQJgfrA18PtmdagyeRib3xGtvzkdn3Lgw/viewform?usp=sf_link with your choice of the times that work for you.

I’ll follow up with you to figure out what method is the best way for us to connect.

Please contact me using the email mentioned above if you have any questions or require more information about this project.

Thank you for considering taking part in this research.

Regards

Kholoud

Polygon.com edit

Your catalog seems to be broken. --Trade (talk) 23:30, 6 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

For the broken links? It’s quite weird, eg Secret of Mana (Q50384002) is 40332, and the canonical URL has an additional slug https://www.polygon.com/game/secret-of-mana-2018/40332. With https://www.polygon.com/game/_/40332 you get redirected to https://www.polygon.com/game/secret-of-mana-2018/40332/show − which is a 404, but proves that the numerical ID is enough. Removing the trailing /show then works. So, I’m convinced the numerical ID is good, however I could not find quite a formatter URL that works. Jean-Fred (talk) 09:50, 7 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Call for participation in a task-based online experiment edit

Dear Jean-Frédéric,

I hope you are doing good,

I am Kholoud, a researcher at King's College London, and I work on a project as part of my PhD research, in which I have developed a personalised recommender system that suggests Wikidata items for the editors based on their past edits. I am collaborating on this project with Elena Simperl and Miaojing Shi.

I am inviting you to a task-based study that will ask you to provide your judgments about the relevance of the items suggested by our system based on your previous edits. Participation is completely voluntary, and your cooperation will enable us to evaluate the accuracy of the recommender system in suggesting relevant items to you. Grabbing Steam pages edit

Greetings. I'm planning to add information from Steam pages, at least language of work or name (P407). Here's sandbox edit and sample edit with qualifiers, and a couple examples without qualifiers (I don't specify any qualifiers if all localizations are equally complete according to Steam. Some indie titles tend to specify that all localzations have voice acting even if there's no speech in the game whatsoever, so grabbing this infomation might be misleading).

What do you think? Are references good enough? I'm personally not sure about voice acting (Q22920017), but I can't find better element for qualifier.

Also, is it possible to edit Wikidata via VPN? Lots of steam pages are unavailable in my country unfortunately and I can't find a way to bypass it. Facenapalm (talk) 03:27, 25 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hey @Facenapalm:, sorry for the delayed answer.
These look very good! Awesome job with the qualifiers − I think voice acting (Q22920017) is fine.
One edge case I foresee is for games with local releases separate from the Steam release. For example − Final Fantasy IX (Q474573) was re-released on Steam, where it’s available in English/French/Italian/German/Spanish. But my old PlayStation copy only had French available − and obviously the game is available in Japanese too somewhere (although maybe not on Steam?) Barring separating the local releases, should we flag that this is true 'only' for the Steam release − using some qualifier? But I am not sure which, and in some ways it would also be misleading (That FFIX has French interface is not 'only' true for the Steam release, it was also the case on PS1) − thinking more, the languages have clear references so it’s probably fine like that.
Thanks for all these additions!

Re:VPN: per meta:No open proxies, VPN will generally be blocked from editing Wikimedia projects (unless you have IPBLock exemption).
One solution I can think of would be to do the Steam scraping on VPN, persist it locally, and then get off VPN to do the Wikidata edits.
Also, you can try running your scripts on the Wikimedia cloud − on Toolforge, or perhaps using PAWS? (I would assume these IPs are all in the US, I assume most of Steam would be accessible from there). Jean-Fred (talk) 08:15, 4 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

That's what I did in the end, yup. And I completely forgot I have a toolforge account, thanks for the reminder. :D
Regarding separate releases — I'm not sure whether it's possible to handle it with script, looks like a manual job for me. I skipped items with more than one Steam ID set, but comparing different IDs to see whether it's a single release or was the game re-released would probably require human evaluation. "Firma aus Deutschland (aktiv)" edit

Hallo ,

Merci beaucoup Weft (talk) 22:52, 10 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

AdventureCorner.de Mix-n-Match catalog edit

All the links are 404. :( Matthias M. (talk) 17:43, 30 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Matthias M.: Thanks for raising this! Aargh, they must have changed something in their backend, https://www.adventurecorner.de/game/2265/ does not resolve but https://www.adventurecorner.de/game/2265/_ does. I’ll try to recreate the catalog at some point. Thanks again! Jean-Fred (talk) 19:32, 18 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Is it possible to edit a mix-n-match catalog? Matthias M. (talk) 11:23, 23 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
It is but limited. In the case of scraper catalogs (which is the case here) you can update the scraper however, as far as I know, it does not update the old values, only adds new ones.
New catalog started at mixnmatch:5947 − might take a while before it populates. Jean-Fred (talk) 12:10, 23 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Salut Jean-Fred ! Merci pour la réponse positive. Could you send me an email to this contact? I can send you a calendar invite and we can coordinate there. We can include more people as we go if anyone else comments that they are up for it :) --Utl jung (talk) 21:41, 3 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

GamersGlobal video game series edit

I just noticed it does not work as it isn't connected yet to GamersGlobal game ID (P11771). Matthias M. (talk) 13:11, 18 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, we would need to propose a property for it (it’s a different formatter URL so can’t really fit with P11771). The catalog still works insofar as it does track the matches and if/when the property is created, we can always sync the matches.
It takes somewhat longer to make a property proposal than to create a catalog, so I often do the latter and catch up later − if you look at all the video game catalogs, plenty do not have a linked property. Jean-Fred (talk) 19:30, 18 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
I see. Created Wikidata:Property proposal/GamersGlobal group ID then. Matthias M. (talk) 11:23, 23 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Autofill Details edit

Hi! I don't remember what the plugin to autofill details of references is called but would it be possible to make some adjustments? Trade (talk) 17:51, 18 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Trade: That’s Wikidata:Tools/CiteTool, it’s a gadget now. You can suggest adjustments on the talk page MediaWiki talk:Gadget-CiteTool.js or Wikidata_talk:Tools/CiteTool I guess :) Jean-Fred (talk) 19:27, 18 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Feedback sur une proposition de proprieté edit

Salut,

--Misc (talk) 12:41, 18 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
