One more entrepreneur with no (or very borderline) notability. Wolverène (talk) 09:17, 28 September 2020 (UTC)

  •   Comment. My idea on what this entrepreneur-related spam might be, is that it's the result of paid editing by some well-informed SMM specialists, who know that an item creation in Wikidata usually causes the creation of Google Knowledge Graph link which is very helpful for further promotional purposes. Note some references in e.g. the nominated item are like "stated in -> Google Knowledge Graph", however there still no knowledge graph for Kareem Elmashad (as of Sept. 28th, 2020, 9:27). In the end, I want to say, it's unfortunately useless to struggle with it. --Wolverène (talk) 09:31, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
I feel like it might be about time to contact the Wikimedia Foundation on help to deal with this. @Wolverène:

Campsites in Sweden

Hi @Draceane, Hazard-SJ:, I disagree with the decision to remove this campsite and other campsites in Sweden as it fills a structural need for Wikivoyage where articles with links to Wikidata objects nearby is something that is very useful. E.g. campsites along a hiking route or near a travel destination. Sometimes the condition 2 of Wikidata:Notability e.g. when the campsite is within a natural reserve and described in geodata dumps from the Swedish authorities (its a material entity) is also fulfilled, but not always. See Wikidata:WikiProject Shelters.--So9q (talk) 12:13, 23 September 2020 (UTC)

I see referencing issues here. Is there anything available about these campsites beyond private Facebook groups and Google Maps links? —MisterSynergy (talk) 23:57, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
I agree. This is a problem. I started taking photos of every single one I visit and upload to Commons. I guess that does not solve your problem. The best solution would be if someone could make an independent source of truth. I have contacted both the Friluftsfrämjandet and the Swedish Camping Association a few months and none of the has responded yet unfortunately so a new dedicated organization might be best. I have early plans to fork http://fruktkartan.se and make a CC0 repository of all Swedish campsites not collected anywhere else in the open. Would that solve the issue (a github page to link to).--So9q (talk) 10:26, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
Thank you. I suggest that you save a list of current campsite items (including deleted ones you know of), set up a reliable publication of your "campsite database" and then we can link the items against it and undelete the meanwhile deleted ones. The published database, in whatever form this happens, should identify and describe individual campsites so that any Wikidata user/editor can verify the information you have added here at Wikidata; don't forget to add a license to the publication. This is far from being perfect, but without it we have basically no chance to work with this dataset. I guess we can also close this section here, and you can contact us via WD:AN (or ask me on my user talk page) once you are ready so that we can restore whatever went missing meanwhile. You can also contact me in case of questions. Okay? —MisterSynergy (talk) 11:29, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
I have a lot of other stuff on my plate right now, so it might take a while for me to set up a database. I'm guessing the data needs to be CC0 for Wikidata to use/link to it, no?--So9q (talk) 15:02, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
Not necessarily CC0, but it would be the best option. The database needs to be released to the public domain, and database rights need to be waived as you seem to be residing in the EU. CC0 does both, and it is IMO anyways the best option for data publications that should be actually useable and useful.
Closing here with   Done as there is currently no need for administrative action, and feel free to contact me on my talk page at any time. —MisterSynergy (talk) 18:30, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
