What type of map should this be? Should it be a location map, a relief map, a political map? I think we need to be more specific with both the description and the name of the property. Del_♉sion23 (talk) 11:05, 7 February 2013 (UTC)

I think we should make it more specific in the description about what kind of map should be added to an item. Otherwise it will be very inconsistent. As a hypothetical example, someone will request a map of France and get a location map, but they will request a map of Germany and get a road map. Del_♉sion23 (talk) 11:35, 7 February 2013 (UTC)

I agree that the type of map should be more specific in the property title whenever possible. I made this point here [1] where I said that just because something is a media type does not mean the property can be less specific. I suggest this property title be changed to "road map" and other maps attached to it be moved to new properties. It's mostly attached to roads now. Good idea. Other maps such as "relief map", "location map" etc should be proposed. They would be very useful in more specific terms, particularly for countries and states etc. I've removed P15 from all non-road items, apart from Canada which I can't seem to remove it from for some reason... That property is for location maps showing the location of a place. This property is for road maps specifically, showing the layout of the road. Del_♉sion23 (talk) 14:10, 10 March 2013 (UTC)
