Discussion edit
At the moment (june 2021) this links to an archived version of the profile, while there is also an up-2-date profile available, but unfortunately at another URL with another identifier. How can this be managed? Edoderoo (talk) 07:11, 5 June 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, changes needed. Now, the address is:
- https://european-athletics.com/historical-data/athletes/romania/alexandru-constantin-floria-014511267
- so the root should be:
- and the example identifier:
- great-britain-ni/dina-asher-smith-014378282 (what is this "ni" for UK athlete?)
- You can change it yourself. Maybe I will change it later, there are some things to know / take care probably. Jgwikid (talk) 11:21, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
- great-britain-ni is for "Great Britain and Northern Ireland" --Rashinseita (talk) 05:08, 18 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Edoderoo, Jgwikid: I think it would be a better approach to just leaves this property as is and create a new one, Since the current identifier is in use at some Wikipedias in templates. With formatter URL (P1630)https://european-athletics.com/historical-data/athletes/-/$1 in the case of Dina Asher-Smith (Q14623252) could be just the numerical ID 014378282. --CamelCaseNick (talk) 03:01, 20 August 2021 (UTC)
Add this property to all the articles with a bot edit
Can you program a bot to add to all articles this Property for all links contained in the official database of European Athletics [1]? Thanks. Leonprimer (talk) 04:29, 9 April 2023 (UTC)
