Merge instead of delete

Please don't delete duplicate items like you did for President of Sudan (Q14948193) (which I've now undeleted and merged). We want our IDs to be as stable as possible. Merging creates a redirect to the right ID, deleting breaks the ID. (Remember that we don't know who is using our data, so we don't know which IDs are being used by other people)

This item was also being used by other items. You should check that an item is not being used by other items before deleting it, because deleting an item that other items are using breaks the statements for those items.

Template article

Hello.

Can you check if en:Template:Administrative divisions of Azerbaijan exists in Arabic Wikipedia? If it exists, can you add it to its Wikidata page? I suspect that the template could exist in Arabic Wikipedia. Because I can't read Arabic, I cannot find it myself. And because I live in Turkey, we cannot access and communicate with Wikipedia, because it is banned and blocked, along with hundreds of thousands(!) of other websites. The main article ar:التقسيم الإداري في أذربيجان already exists. But a template is useful for the individual district articles of Azerbaijan in Arabic Wikipedia.

Dear.. FYI: with this edit here you changed the correct date of death from 18 to the 17th of November. This change was incorrect. I've changed it back to the correct 18th. Don't know if you master the Dutch language but in this reference you can read, Toch stierf woensdag in het bijzijn van zijn vrouw op 77-jarige leeftijd Wim Doesburg. woensdag = wednesday so the 18th. Hello, you've done that on at least two other recent occasions: In the first case, you provided a source that doesn't even state a date of death at all, just the date it was published, while the source I had used states the correct date of death. In the second case, the source you provided had originally stated an incorrect date of death, but it had apparently been updated when you changed the date, and the source I had used had stated the correct date as well. عذرًا للتطفل @باسم, حبيشان:، المقصود بأنَّ definiteness (Q1182686) هي عملية التعريف، بحيث الكلمة تكون إما definite (Q53997851) أو indefinite (Q53997857). بشكلٍ آخر، أنَّ الكلمة تقسم إلى معرفة أو نكرة بناءً على التعريف (هل هي معرفّة أم لا؟) أتمنى أن تكون الأمور أوضح. لذلك الأصح أن تربط مقالة معرفة (نحو) مع (Q53997851) ومقالة نكرة مع (Q16123764). تحياتي --Alaa :)..! 18:42, 2 January 2022 (UTC)

How we will see unregistered users

When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.

It's not necessary to remove elements from an item before deleting it (and it's actually unhelpful when searching deleted items). More to the point, an item you have just emptied isn't empty, but it may well have been not notable. Cheers, Bovlb (talk) 21:51, 22 September 2022 (UTC)
