Please leave the sample with the scheme applicable to the property.

P2580 related warning edit

You are replacing valid P2580 (P2580) identifiers with invalid ones that resemble ISNI IDs. This is undesired, thus please undo your changes of the past days before you continue with any other edits. The website of P2580 (P2580) has changed its URL scheme, so you need to propose for a new property that fits for the new ISNI-style identifiers, rather than to usurp the old property. —MisterSynergy (talk) 14:15, 4 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

User:MisterSynergy you claimed "You are replacing valid P2580 (P2580) identifiers with invalid ones that resemble ISNI IDs." - can you give one example? If not, take it back. And if you stick to it without providing an example than it might be a lie. 77.11.194.234 12:06, 6 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

It's not difficult to find many of those wrong replacements in User:Arachn0's contributions of the past days, Tobias. —MisterSynergy (talk) 12:20, 6 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Looking at the first example: What is wrong? The source for BBLD ID is https://bbld.de and https://bbld.de/0000000015899777 confirms that it is related to the person identified by Q55090508. 77.11.194.234 13:34, 6 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
<http://www.bbl-digital.de/eintrag/Proffen-Georg-Heinrich-1769-1850> continues to be a valid identifier for Georg Heinrich Proffen, even if there is no longer a resource avaliable at this URL (there was one, see [2]). We thus keep the "old" identifier, and would allow the new ISNI-style one <https://bbld.de/0000000015899777> in a new property. The same applies to *all* other cases.
This is an established procedure in Wikidata, we do this with other properties/identifiers that change their identifier pattern as well. We even keep identifiers when the resources are no longer available at all. —MisterSynergy (talk) 15:20, 6 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
<http://www.bbl-digital.de/eintrag/Proffen-Georg-Heinrich-1769-1850>0 - there is no longer a resource avaliable at this URL;<https://bbld.de/0000000015899777> is only right Arachn0 (talk) 17:43, 6 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
As I said, it does not matter that there is no resource available (any longer). This is intended to be an identifier in the first place, not a mere weblink, thus it is valid without a linked resource. As usual in the context of linked data, identifiers have the form of URLs, regardless of whether there is content available or not. —MisterSynergy (talk) 20:09, 6 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
„it does not matter that there is no resource available“ I can't understand it. 1) So, if that "old-stile" link wil automatically appears in Vikipedia page and lead into emptiness - it would be normal ? So if BBLD is unique Reliable source - the page could be deleted. 2) Some new pages in BBLD has ONLY ISNI-style links - and marked wrong anyway. 3) The URL masque is matter of second importance, I think, and should be changed Arachn0 (talk) 20:28, 6 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Reminder edit

Please don't replace property values with values of a different scheme. This even if you may have been invited by a banned user to do so. --- Jura 20:35, 16 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Erik-Amburger-Datenbank edit

Hi Arachn0, we should consider creating a special Lexeme that contains the Amburger-ID ... What do you think about it?--Kresspahl (talk) 07:40, 13 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Call for participation in the interview study with Wikidata editors edit

Dear Arachn0,

I hope you are doing good,

I am Kholoud, a researcher at King’s College London, and I work on a project as part of my PhD research that develops a personalized recommendation system to suggest Wikidata items for the editors based on their interests and preferences. I am collaborating on this project with Elena Simperl and Miaojing Shi.

I would love to talk with you to know about your current ways to choose the items you work on in Wikidata and understand the factors that might influence such a decision. Your cooperation will give us valuable insights into building a recommender system that can help improve your editing experience.

Participation is completely voluntary. You have the option to withdraw at any time. Your data will be processed under the terms of UK data protection law (including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018). The information and data that you provide will remain confidential; it will only be stored on the password-protected computer of the researchers. We will use the results anonymized to provide insights into the practices of the editors in item selection processes for editing and publish the results of the study to a research venue. If you decide to take part, we will ask you to sign a consent form, and you will be given a copy of this consent form to keep.

If you’re interested in participating and have 15-20 minutes to chat (I promise to keep the time!), please either contact me at kholoudsaa@gmail.com or kholoud.alghamdi@kcl.ac.uk or use this form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdmmFHaiB20nK14wrQJgfrA18PtmdagyeRib3xGtvzkdn3Lgw/viewform?usp=sf_link with your choice of the times that work for you.

I’ll follow up with you to figure out what method is the best way for us to connect.

Please contact me if you have any questions or require more information about this project.

Thank you for considering taking part in this research.

Regards
