Wikinews topic categories edit

Hi. Wikinews topic categories are linked to the item for the corresponding Wikipedia article, rather than the corresponding Wikipedia category. This often trips up users who haven't encountered it before. (Fwiw, Wikidata:Wikinews/Development. There are a few other cases, I think, where non-mainspace pages in a non-Wikipedian sister are associated with Wikipedia mainspace pages, though the only one that immediately leaps to mind is Wikisource author pages.) --Pi zero (talk) 11:17, 24 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hereabove is yet mentioned that a Wikinews category is linked with a Wikipedia article. I therefore corrected your action of today, because it is still standing policy. Cheers. Ymnes (talk) 16:16, 26 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

I think that your work from the top, and mine from the bottom have close to cleaned this up. I have pushed the update button again, and am hoping for close to a clean slate.  :-)  — billinghurst sDrewth 13:33, 14 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

bummer not the case, I have seemingly bumped into a patch of yours mid-list. Not to worry, chipping away.  — billinghurst sDrewth 13:41, 14 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
