Q5584375 edit

Hi there. Could you please explain why you feel that Q5584375 should be deleted? Thanks. — PinkAmpers&(Je vous invite à me parler) 23:52, 28 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Apparently there's already an item for Nodira. (Q946905) Nataev (talk) 23:53, 28 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
Awesome, thanks! Nataev (talk) 23:55, 28 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
Welcome.   In the future, you can feel free to use Wikidata:Requests for deletions. If you go to your gadgets panel, there's a script there called RequestDeletion that works very nicely for this kind of thing. — PinkAmpers&(Je vous invite à me parler) 23:57, 28 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! I'm slowly learning the ropes here. Shouldn't the interwikis appear immediately on the relevant articles? On the English Wikipedia it still says that there are no languages. Nataev (talk) 23:59, 28 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
Huh. I thought they did. Well, I purged the page and that seemed to do the trick. — PinkAmpers&(Je vous invite à me parler) 00:01, 1 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
Thanks again! Wikidata is way cool! :) Nataev (talk) 00:03, 1 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
Ain't it? Well keep up the good work. Glad to have you on board.  — PinkAmpers&(Je vous invite à me parler) 03:22, 1 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
It really is! Thanks! I will do my best. Nataev (talk) 10:09, 1 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Request edit

Hello. Could you at create the articles en:Architecture of Azerbaijan (Republic of Azerbaijan), en:List of Azerbaijani film directors (Republic of Azerbaijan) and en:Bodies of water of Azerbaijan (Republic of Azerbaijan) in Uzbek (or request them yourself to other users in Uzbek Wikipedia)? Thank you. 31.200.20.150 14:22, 17 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Mix of work and edition edit

Hi,

Just a quick message to let you know that I splited Master the GRE (Q28834225) who was mixing the work and the edition. There is now one item for each edition (which are not fully complete as I don't know these books) per the model documented on Wikidata:WikiProject Books.

Cdlt, VIGNERON (talk) 19:20, 29 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Good day! You mean we have to have separate entries for every single edition of a certain book? Is it a widely accepted rule? IMHO, it makes much more sense to list all the editions of a book in one entry. Nataev talk 04:14, 30 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
Hi,
Yes, it is the rules of the Book project.
True, it is easier to make only one item but it's better to have separate items. For instance, it allow to use the specific in edition in reference, as edition can vary, the data referenced maybe be only in a specific edition and not in the other. It allow to store the different data too, one edition can be in English (with English title and place of publication), while an other edition can be in German (again with specific data). And the item is more readable when there is a lot of editions (think of the Bible or Shakespeare books which have thousands of editions). And for Wikisource texts, you have no choice since you can only have one sitelink per item (so it's impossible to merge Romeo and Juliet (Q19101569) and The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet (Q19101009)).
Cdlt, VIGNERON (talk) 07:14, 30 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
OK, I see. Damn, it means at some point I'll have to change a lot of my entries. Nataev talk 07:22, 30 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Translation edit

Hello.

Can you create short articles en:Template:Airports in Azerbaijan, en:List of airports in Azerbaijan, en:Heydar Aliyev International Airport and en:Category:Airports in Azerbaijan in Uzbek? Or can you send this list to Uzbek Wikipedia? I live in Turkey, where Wikipedia is banned and blocked, and thus cannot do it myself.

Yours sincerely, Sondrion (talk) 19:58, 22 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Good day! I don't do article requests, but will pass on the word. Nataev talk 10:08, 23 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please don't put babel categories with numbers in the parent category directly edit

Thank you for editing Wikidata. However Category:User ky-2 is better to be put in Category:User ky; otherwise, Category:Babel - Users by language would be flooded.--迴廊彼端 (talk) 09:23, 12 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi! OK, no objection from my side. It's not like I'm going to edit babel categories, so you can edit the items as you see fit. Nataev talk 16:15, 12 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
