Wikidata is a free knowledge base that you can edit! It can be read and edited by humans and machines alike and you can go to any item page now and add to this ever-growing database!

Need some help getting started? Here are some pages you can familiarize yourself with:

I have warned User:PANONIAN to discuss with you about this dispute and I need you to do your part by also not edit warring. The items in question have been fully-protected to stop this edit war, and you should discuss with PANONIAN about whether to merge the items. .. to copy all information - titles (can be added automatically using a tool), descriptions and of course the statements - when you merge two items and empty one of them. (Concerns Q1206385 and Q3926560.) And at the end please remember to apply a "Request for deletion" (WD:RFD) for the no longer needed item.

Re: Deity and Gods (disambiguation)

Hello, I was doing some history merges on those two pages, and as a result, Wikidata automatically removed the interwiki links on my behalf. It usually puts them back, but clearly didn't in this case; thanks for doing so. Graham87 (talk) 03:02, 19 January 2015 (UTC)

Can you create the supplementary en:Category:Azerbaijani encyclopedias just like lv:Kategorija:Latvijas enciklopēdijas in Latvian Wikipedia?

Thanks, I see what you mean – looks like a bit of a mess... a split or merge where many of the usage and links of rathaus (Q543654) do not refer to the particular Polish usage, and maybe should be migrated to town hall (Q25550691). Call for participation in a task-based online experiment

Dear Treisijs,

I hope you are doing good,

I am Kholoud, a researcher at King's College London, and I work on a project as part of my PhD research, in which I have developed a personalised recommender system that suggests Wikidata items for the editors based on their past edits. I am collaborating on this project with Elena Simperl and Miaojing Shi.

I am inviting you to a task-based study that will ask you to provide your judgments about the relevance of the items suggested by our system based on your previous edits. Participation is completely voluntary, and your cooperation will enable us to evaluate the accuracy of the recommender system in suggesting relevant items to you. We will analyse the results anonymised, and they will be published to a research venue.

The study will start in late January 2022 or early February 2022, and it should take no more than 30 minutes.

Incorrect use of subclass of (P279)

Hello –

This edit to "maritime infrastructure" (Q27895381) was in error. Because subclass of (P279) is transitive (for example, see this tree of parent classes), such errors lead to numerous false inferences, such as maritime infrastructure (Q27895381)subclass of (P279)behavior (Q9332) When using instance of (P31) and subclass of (P279), check the description of the item you use as the statement value, and make sure your use complies with Help:Basic membership properties. (In particular, "A" is a subclass of "B" only if all instances of "A" are also instances of "B".) There is often another property that can accurately express the relationship you had in mind; in this case, has use (P366) works better. You can search through available properties here. Thanks!
