Bot dupes

Hi Tulsi Bhagat, please don't use your bot to create many duplicate items like Abraham Blommaert (Q21082441) and Asarum hatsushimae (Q21094051). We have a pretty liberal bot policy here, but if you make a mess it's up to the operator (you) to clean it up. So please, start merging. Multichill (talk) 16:25, 23 October 2015 (UTC)

What the heck? I ask you not to create duplicates and you end up creating tons of duplicates like Legnotus limbosus (Q21178169)? Can you please explain me why you did this? Multichill (talk) 23:02, 23 October 2015 (UTC)
@Multichill: Hey, I don't mean to create duplicates. There were no links on commons page. So, i've created. Really sorry, If else i'll merge the items. Regards, Tulsi Bhagat (Talk) 17:16, 24 October 2015 (UTC)
@Multichill: I don't think that created pages needs to be merge with. There will have a few pages that will need to do so. Please! calm down. Nthg to be worry. Regards, Tulsi Bhagat (Talk) 17:36, 24 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi Tulsi, you and your bot have created a lot of duplicate items, especially taxon items, see for example:
(made by your bot)

(made by you)

I started to merge some of them, but I realized that there are too many duplicates. Could your bot do it instead? Thanks, Korg (talk) 20:49, 25 October 2015 (UTC)

@Korg: No, sorry mybot can't do. But i'll do. Regards, Tulsi Bhagat (Talk) 06:27, 26 October 2015 (UTC)
My bot merged more than 1000 superfluous species item. Please search wikidata before you create new items. --Succu (talk) 17:39, 27 October 2015 (UTC)
@Succu: Thanks alot! :) -- Tulsi Bhagat (Talk) 05:35, 28 October 2015 (UTC)
Oh my God, there are literally thousands of duplicates. Some are obviously more subtle, but others could easily have been filtered before creating new items for them. It is good that you wanted to create items for these Commons galleries, fair enough, but it would have been so much easier to add these links to the already-existing items. Man oh man. I'd love to help with some merges, but I fear this would take me weeks! Please, if you have some spare time yourself, have a look... Jared Preston (talk) 22:26, 12 November 2015 (UTC)

@Multichill, Korg, Succu, Jared Preston: Thread now opened at Wikidata:Project_chat#And_just_when_you_thought_the_Commons_sitelink_mess_couldn.27t_get_any_worse_... to think about how best to go about clearing this up (in particular, what to do when a simple merge would hit a Commons sitelink clash). Retirement

Dear Tulsi,

please reconsider your retirement in case it is related to your recent RFA. Many users (even some of our current admins) had a difficult start on the wikis, a failed permission request should not be discouraging. We value your contributions and experience comes over time. Kind regards, --Vogone (talk) 10:26, 16 March 2016 (UTC)

@Vogone: Thanks to msg about retirement. Actually, You'r right. I will be back soon. I need some time thinking about this. --TBhagat (talk) 09:41, 17 March 2016 (UTC)

Bulk deletion request

Hello. You can request for deletion multiple items for a shared reason using https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Wikidata:Requests_for_deletions&action=edit&section=new&preload=Wikidata:Requests%20for%20deletions/Preload_2&editintro=Wikidata:Requests_for_deletions/Editintro_2&nosummary=1 --ديفيد عادل وهبة خليل 2 (talk) 11:13, 13 October 2016 (UTC)

Hi User:ديفيد عادل وهبة خليل 2, I know about this (bulk deletion request) but the thing is i'm editing using android mobile. Checking page one by one and then nominating for RFD is bit easy for me using mobile rather than bulk deletion. And sadly my computer is having issues now. Don't know if it gonna be fix or else i've to buy new one later. — TBhagat (talk) 11:30, 13 October 2016 (UTC)

Q16943273

Hello, item Q16943273 is part of Wikidata:Tours, so it needs to stay that way. Thanks.-- Hakan·IST 16:19, 19 October 2016 (UTC)

Tang Ti-sheng Alias removed for what reason?

Hi, I noticed that the three I added for good reasons were taken to be vandalism. While the article is using a name without substantiation (just being pinyin) that I can locate, those names added are what represent the subject in Cantonese Opera community for decades.

  1. Tang Di-sheng (IMDb)
  2. Tong Tik-Sang (HKMDB)
  3. Tong Dick-san

while

  1. Tang Ti-sheng
  2. 唐滌生

If "Tang Ti-sheng" was not the name on his death certificate or other proper documentations, why should it prevail to such an extent that even alias could not be included here at all? There are many reliable sources of his name in English, the HKMDB, the IMDb, the authority in PRC (Zhuhai's Tang Disheng was true Master of Guangdong Opera), the Government of Hong Kong generally (birth certificates of his children or his 1959 death certificate) which is most likely a Cantonese pronunciation instead of a pinyin. That is, Tong as the last name instead of Tang, to put it simply.

Your help is much appreciated. --207.102.255.36 21:56, 27 December 2016 (UTC)
