subclass of (P279)

Look, for example, at rock and roll (Q7749). It is a genre of popular music so we can say that

⟨ rock and roll (Q7749)    ⟩ subclass of (P279) ⟨ popular music (Q373342)    ⟩

. If you find some subgenres of rock and roll (Q7749), you should add statement P279 Q7749 to those subgenres, not to Q7749 itself. --Infovarius (talk) 13:58, 30 September 2016 (UTC)

On dubstep (Q20474) You made a mess with subclass. The Wikipedia article only says dubstep is related to reggae, etc. That's not what subclass means. Subclass is part of creating a class hierarchy and there shouldn't be loops. But you made all these related genres all subclasses of each other. You need to change subclass to another property. Merging items

Hallo Wvdp,
When you merge items, you may want to use the merge.js gadget from help page about merging. It helps with merging, gives the option to always keep the lower number (which is older, so preferable in most cases) and removes the need to file a request on Wikidata:Requests for deletions.

Jean Graton

Hello Wvdp. The cartoonist Jean Graton has a son named Gurval, but you deleted the entry. Is there a reason? Thank you very much in advance for your answer: Tatvam (talk) 11:05, 24 January 2021 (UTC)

Sorry for deleting your edit like this. I deleted the edit because if you read the edit as is it states that Jean Graton has a son and that son is literlaly then name Gurval. it a bit like saying that he has has son named "the concept of life". so this was not the right modeling of the data.

but what to replace it with. you can add the son to wikidata if he is notable enough (the bar is a lot lower than on wikipedia)

or mabey a construnction of "unknown value" and the name of the child as a qualifier.

or mabey even better would be "number of children" and then if there are items avalibol at a later time add them then

Hi, I noticed that you are a user of my browser extension wwwyzzerdd. I am considering applying for a Wikimedia grant to further its development (for one thing it needs to be rewritten to be compatible with manifest v3 before the deadline). As part of that I'm contacting some users to get some feedback. If you have some time I would appreciate if you could tell me:

• How do you find the extension? Is it useful to your work?

Toevoegen eigenaar aan De astronoom

In deze bewerkingen voeg je toe dat het Louvre eigenaar is van de Astronoom. Dat staat zeker niet op nl:De astronoom dus ik vraag me af waar je dit vandaan hebt. Het is volkomen onjuist. Ik zie in jouw recente wijzigingen dat je meerdere twijfelachtige owned by (P127) hebt toegevoegd. Graag deze onderbouwen met een echte bron of je bewerkingen terugdraaien. Ik heb inderdaad geen diepgaand onderzoek gedaan bij deze edits. Maar ik verwacht wel dat de meest van de edits correct zijn. Maar nu ik de wiki pagina nog wat aandachtiger lees is het inderdaad de franse staat de eigenaar is.

Ik heb ook een aantal van mijn andere edits vergeleken met RKD en alleen de plekken waar ik landen heb toegevoegd lijken mij een punt voor extra onderzoek.

Excuses voor de fout die ik heb gemaakt bij de astronoom maar ik ben we tevrede met mijn andere edit en blijf er dus ook achter staan Wvdp (talk) 21:23, 11 February 2023 (UTC)
