- Support (Comment: Examples 1 and 4 above are not consistent with the provided regex. I believe [A-Za-z_]+\d+ would cover all provided examples.) John P. Sadowski (NIOSH) (talk) 21:18, 19 December 2019 (UTC)
- Support Though with the 4th example, the regex should probably be [A-Za-z_]+_[0-9A-Za-z]+ unless the last part is hexademical, and we can make it more specific -- Fuzheado (talk) 18:48, 20 December 2019 (UTC)

- Support trying to figure this out Abraham Lincoln (Q20504914) links to https://americanart.si.edu/collections/search/artwork/?id=23345 with LOD URI http://edan.si.edu/saam/id/object/1916.3.1 . If I use the search mentioned above I get "EDAN-URL: edanmdm:saam_1916.3.1". That's the code for the old link, but seems to be the same as the new system? That ID gives https://www.si.edu/object/SAAM-1916.3.1_1 and also https://ids.si.edu/ids/manifest/SAAM-1916.3.1_1 . I'm planning to do a rerun of Wikidata:WikiProject sum of all paintings/Collection/Smithsonian American Art Museum next year. Than I can add about 8000 links using this new property. - We are not sure how configuration of a new SI global system will be impacted. Our intention is to propose the syntax for the current environment, and also be mindful of having the least impact to all SI units when moving to a new system. We will continue many conversations internally as this property proposal is accepted by the community. The existing Smithsonian properties such as P4704 for the Smithsonian American Art Museum ID will continue in use, but the idea is to have an SI-wide identifier syntax that the various units can use without having to create new ones for items in their collections.
