Horizon Pleins textes (Q56319412) is an institutional repository of publications by the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (Q2910510), each with a unique identifier. Currently some 100,000 articles are in the repository. Many of these articles are only available online via the Horizon Pleins textes (Q56319412) repository and hence the proposed IRD identifier is likely to be only online identifier available for these articles. For other articles the proposed identifier will supplement existing ones (e.g., DOI (P356)), and may enable people to discover open access versions of an article via Horizon Pleins textes (Q56319412).
