Properties for Indian ragas edit

Of the properties proposed below, it is most likely the case that only "ascending scale" and "descending scale" will be useful for other musical traditions.

Motivation edit

These properties serve as a starting point to describe ragas, both Hindustani (all four properties) and Carnatic (the first two, primarily). While a number of other properties may be proposed later to augment the description of these ragas (e.g. for the pakad (Q7125406), Chalan (Q56277847)s, Sthayi (Q7616089)s, and the like), I would like to augment the current (largely empty) items for ragas with this information first. The reference I have given provides such information for at most 1438 different ragas, though I have also identified other sources (such as the Raganidhi of B.
