@Ambrosia10: Is a "colourist" someone you can sometimes identify in your work with material from the BHL? Is this a property that might in future be of use on Commons for images from there? Question Another way to indicate this would be to use creator (P170) or contributor to the creative work or subject (P767) with qualifier object has role (P3831) = colorist (Q1111648). What are the pluses and minuses of the two approaches? Is it good to try to create more specific properties, or is it good to avoid creating new properties if possible? @Jheald - yes I have identified women who work as colourists. I've come across them mainly in French biodiversity heritage literature. See for example Mme. Delarue (Q56441032). It is possible that this is a property that might have future use on Commons for images there. It would certainly help to give credit to these women for their work.
